WA Affiliate Program
Updated

Are there any roles or policies about the WA affiliate program?
For example, can I offer a friend a free beer to sign up?
Or can I say: "If you sign up, I will send you

I would not use any incentives except maybe offer them a bonus training lesson or extra follow up by you. You need to point out why they should choose to start at WA. Signing up is one thing. It is free.
Going Premium and Staying on the platform demands an interest in building an online business over time.
I would rather have a few people who really want this than a lot who just sign up and never finish what they started.
It will benefit you more. Kyle offers his diamond lesson as a bonus for signing up.

Most people offer bonuses, some are much better than others and I think it can make a real difference to how you support as a sponsor. Some just do a runner :)

Although I do remember a client of mine who was a high flyer and he would be the top earner in the company. He was send a thousand pounds worth of champagne every month by his boss. The problem he did not drink. He left the company as he wanted to be undertood more and it was at odds with his values. Some great answers here. Good luck, Phil

Hi - not as regards the WA affiliate program.

But you can't offer incentives with Amazon.

Yes I know, I am afraid to ask a friend to use my Amazon links.

Using a bonus to encourage people to sign up is fine.
Here is the full list of WA rules:

OK, but the spam role is only what is inside here, that has nothing to do with the "outside world" how I get people to sign up. Right?

Hi, to get people to sign up you need to give them a good reason to do so.

You need to show them how WA can help them. So, tell them about how WA can help them start an online business, the benefits, etc.

But to find people organically, you need to write content on your website. Content related to the Making Money Online niche

I have a YouTube channel with karaoke music and applied for Amazon Associates. I thought it was a good idea to post affiliate links under the videos, but now I am scared that t

Hi - I don't think its a problem. As long as you have added your YouTube channel to your Amazon account, and the links are not cloaked or shortened or redirected. You also need Amazons correctly worded disclosure above the links.

I am not sure about that. I checked other karaoke channels on YouTube and not one of them had any Amazon links. Amazon wrote also in they policies something about original content. But I came p with another idea.
I don't put links under the karaoke videos, but I make new videos about karaoke equipment and under this videos I put Amazon links. In addition I make a website about karaoke equipment, and under all my karaoke videos, I link to my website.
My English is not good enough to understand all this clearly: https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/help/operating/policies

Hmm, yes, I suppose karaoke songs are not original, as you don't own the copyright to them.

Your other idea is better, but where are you going to get material for your YouTube channel? Images of the products etc? You can't screenshot them from Amazon.

Do remember, that even when you have been approved for your 3 sales, Amazon can still inspect your site at any time to ensure you are still keeping to the rules.

One of the members here had her account banned after several years and lost $600 which Amazon refused to pay.

I found this, but it is 3 years ago: https://www.quora.com/Can-I-use-affiliate-link-on-my-YouTube-videos
And an English friend of my rechecked the Amazon policies and didn't find anything what would be against the rule If I put links in the description box. The only thing I found was that I have to write "As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.”

And you will also need a Privacy Policy.

I think the Privacy Policy only has to be on your website, not under your YouTube video as in this case YouTube has its Privacy Policy on they website already.

Well, as long as you think that it covers the fact that by a visitor clicking your Amazon link, it places a cookie in their browser. I am not sure of that particular point.

HI If they don't you can always apply again.

So you do have a blog in addition to YouTube.

You'd need write 15 - 20 posts addressing issues related to your niche and attracting traffic before you apply as they would inspect site for relevance and traffic prior approval.

I have also other websites and YouTube channels with my own content, but not so much traffic as of the karaoke channel. Maybe I concentrate more on my own content and wait for approval before I flood the karaoke channel with affiliate links, and the I have to remove them all gain.

That's great and good to know.

You'd need wait yes, because you can only use the material they would supply you with, they have very strict policies.

OK, thank you. I will then try to get more content to my other websites before I place Amazon adds and remove the YouTube channel in question from the Amazon application form.

Hi,
I have a YouTube channel and want to put my Amazon affiliate links in the description of the videos.
I have already signed up on different countries for Amazon affili

Hi - the first thing you need to know, is that Amazon has a sales target, and this applies to each country. You need to make 3 sales in 180 days for each country you have signed up to.

So, if you have signed up to all 8 countries, then you will need to make 24 sales in 180 days. Otherwise, you will be removed from the program for whichever countries you failed to meet the target.

Secondly, you cannot redirect to an Amazon link. A customer has to find the link directly on your page, without being redirected to it. This is specifically mentioned in their program policy.

"Disqualified purchases; any Product purchased by a customer who is referred to an Amazon Site by a link that sends users indirectly to an Amazon Site via an intermediate site"

Amazon has some of the lowest commission rates with some of the strictest rules.

With Amazon OneClick it should work like this:

1. I link all Amazon accounts that I have signed up to, with amazon.com. I did that.

2. I can now create links on amazon.com and this links should redirect the customer to there nearest amazon shop.

so I created the link on amazon.com and shared that link, but the link only link to amazon.com and not to ca, uk or Germany. How I am supposed to make sales when the amazon link is not working?

I have a website with 10.000 views a month with international traffic and a YouTube channel with 150.000 views a month.

Hi - you may wish to read my blog post about OneLink, and the fact that it doesn't always work as it should. Even when it does work, it only works through text links, not image links or text + image links. If the product is not available in other countries, then you have to ensure you have set it to "close match" rather than "exact match" otherwise it won't redirect. And even then, it still might not work if there is no similar product.

You also need Amazon's correctly worded affiliate disclosure on each page that has affiliate links or you will be banned from their program. Take a look at this training. Don't forget all their other rules as well, such as not mentioning the price of the product and only using the one image they supply you with, which must be inserted using their HTML code.

Thank you,
I will have a look and try to get some sales next week. Now I have to take a break.
I was so motivated, but nothing worked as planned today.

Hi, you may like check below link

Hi, listing all affiliate links on a page doesn't convey the message across or converts well, it would look like just another salesy store.

Your visitors may land on your pages to make an informed decision based on the content that you provided and whether to click your links if they serve a purpose, a solution to their issue.

You would normally include an affiliate link to every 500 words written. That's quality rich content with a good choice of keywords addressing issues related to your niche.

You still then can divert customers to YouTube or other stores and even your own..

Was that helpful?

I think you misunderstood my approach.

I don't want to use that page to make it public or generate any attention.
The only propose of the page should be to transfer a click on a link on YouTube to the right Amazon store of the user.

Example:
I have a YouTube video about cat nip and I want to put a link of cat nip on Amazon in the video description.

In the video description I put a short link that directs the click to my WordPress page and from there (because there is the OneClick code) the link will be directed to the right store.

That is my theory, but would that work?

Looks like the video is outdated, the oneTag is no longer needed.
Maybe this is a good time to make a new class about Amazon OneClick.
