How Many Clicks To Get A Sale?
The first thing that came to mind was that cartoon on T.V. the wise old owl and the little boy. The little boy walks up to the owl who is sitting on a tree limb. The boy says "Mr. Owl how many licks does it take to get to the center of this tootsie pop? The Owl grabs the tootsie pop and says lets find out. He licks the pop and says one, he licks the pop again and says two. On the third lick he says three then he bites into the tootsie pop and gets to the yummy center. He then tells the boy three is the answer .
The boy walks away sad, I'm sure he wished he would have found out for himself.
Well if anyone would like to comment it would be appreciated but if not I guess I will just have to find out for my self. I will keep counting my clicks in the mean time. Have a great day!

Another thing to be aware of is those 98 clicks might not necessarily be people who are interested in buying what you are promoting, especially if you have friends and family that visit your websites
2% conversion is pretty depressing. That means flywood should expect 2 sales? Is everyone struggling with this, because i am contemplating upgrading to premium membership but i need to at least make my money back. Let's hear some success stories, who's rollin in dough?? lol
Now that is how you get the ball rolling. Another way that seems to work good for me is to ask the Live Chat the same thing. Also post a blog and watch people give you answers works pretty quick and get on the top 10 list easy!
I remember those commercials. Guess we are of about the same generation. As annoying as they werre, I still remember them. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Happy New Year to you and your loved ones my friend.
I was once told that you should have at least a 2% conversion, or 2 sales per 100 visits. But it really depends on your product, and of course your sales copy. If you don't get at least 2%, then reconsider the product, but first tweak the copy.
ok that sounds like the same thing that movieman commented about . The 2% out of a hundred would be for a seasoned writer. For a newbie the % could even be lower because of lack of experience ?
Probably, yes. As you get going, and if you have a product that people really want, your conversion can be 5 or 6% or higher. Important thing is to get the momentum going.
I wouldn't be too concerned about the clicks at this point, but rather the attention spent on driving traffic to your website. After all, the more people that visit - the more sales and clicks it will generate! I like both your websites. Great work and very nice on the eyes!
Thanks for the directions Romeo its helpful to have a good understanding to where I should apply my time the most.
It all depends on how well the sales page converts. Are these clicks on your site or clicks through to the sales page? Typically sites like Amazon are well trusted and have higher converting sales pages. Where as products from Clickbank pay more per sale but have lower conversion rates.
More helpful insight on my clicks thanks. The clicks are on my webpage to bring people here to sign up.
I think it depends on what the product is, how much information you give before the click, and how much you have warmed up the customer, or how late in the buying circle they are. Just by sharing pictures on pinterest I racked up 300 clicks and got 6 sales, but then the previous month I got only 76 clicks on 5 sales. One was easier to do and got way more clicks, but a much lower percentage than the other. It all depends what sort of clicks you are getting.
no problem. This might give you more insight: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/the-customer-purchase-lifecycle
That brings up a question I have Dom. I thought Pinterest would keep the money from affiliate sales? Isn't that how they make their money?
pinterest doesn't make money at the moment, and if it is MY affiliate link that somebody clicks (because i added a pin with my link) then pinterest can't get the money anyway
@movieman303 - pinterest was using a service called skimlinks or something like that to insert their own affiliate links into posts. I don't think they were replacing other people's affiliate links with their own, just placing affiliate links where there were none. People were just upset that pinterest didn't inform anyone that they were doing it.
As a rule I go by is Start with2%. If you aren’t getting that, then there is something wrong, that is not making them want to buy. Try SPLIT TESTING, everything from headlines, to making changes in the whole website. Is it easy to navigate? Is it easy to buy, how many clicks to buy something? When I build a website that gets no CTR, I will take my laptop to the coffee shop, and ask strangers to look at it, and tell me what they think. In fact that is where I am headed now, to get input on a site I am working on, but is not even published.

Somebody might know. I'm not sure myself. I had over 200 clicks for an Amazon site and only had 4 sales. Wasn't worth all the work. Have you asked in "Chat"? Somebody should answer you from there.

Hey wasn't it just 2 licks and a crunch or 3 licks and a crunch? Seriously I'm gonna buy one Monday while I'm out shopping for shoes! No I'm just joking ,we'll see, but I loved that commercial.
