I have a few posts on my site that I wrote with no regards to keywords, I now want to fix that (If needed) Any advice on how to check if I need to add or change keywords for be
Is the same thing Floyd ...
Try to identify a few good keywords that are relevant to your existing content and re-build your content incorporating them into each post
OK Cool, but I was wondering if it was possible that I could have entered good keywords just during the writing of the post. Not sure if that makes sense but I don't want to accidentally take out good keywords or spend too much time finding keywords I don't really need. (Still having a hard time understanding how keywords work exactly)
Yes, most likely your content already contains some good keywords ... Just find the most relevant, most important terms in each post and use Jaaxy to evaluate them properly

Hello, what you'll simply do is that you'll check keywords for the title in each of the old posts. Replace the old titles with the new keywords. Thanks for asking!

OK so doing that has created a new question...I have a post titled "How to turn bad luck into good luck" in doing a search in jaxxy I noticed very little competition but whe I searched the same term in google, I noticed titles ranking waaayyy above me that don't even match the keywords mentioned above (this is I'm guessing is one of the main reasons I don't get how keywords work)

I switched my home page from a static page to a Blogroll of most recent posts but the images won't show. How do I fix this?
You should check to see if you have set featured images.
Just click on a blog post like you were going to edit it in Wordpress
Scroll down and near the bottom right side there should be a set featured image.
This shows the image on the website
I think you may need to add a feature image. In the Wordpress back office, when I'm in a post, at the bottom on the right side, I can add a feature image. That's the one that's on the homepage and at the top of each post.

I mean other than waiting for it to show up in the search engine.
Hi you can use the plugin Yoast and it has two levels red and green, If red you need to rewrite
I meant like if you do SEO correctly you will show up on page 1 in the search engine, but is there any way to know you did it right before that? (Search engine i.e Google, or Bing)
Yes if you have good seo you can end up on page one but it takes more than just seo.
There are quite a few variables involved and the main one is great informative content with good keywords.
People have to trust what you are telling them.
You have to write with authority.
It will not happen overnight or even in a few weeks.
You are here to learn and just like any new job you have to learn from the ground up.
Robert
I agree...lol... but that's not really answering my question. I mean like...is there a way to see exactly what I need to do (step by step) to be #1 Everytime? (The yeast plugin is kinda what I was looking for for that...)
There are shortcuts but that is just a quick fix and no good for the long term.
It takes work and perseverance.
You will hardly be at number one position in the SERPs every time anyway simply because of the competition.
I tried Yoast and didn't like it but each to his or her own and if you believe it will work for you then use it.
I personally believe you will fail relying on a piece of software.

Can someone tell me what the ranking is all about?
I find the best way to do it is to set aside a specific time period every day to interact. For me, this is currently 30 min. It means I am not first to answer questions etc but staying focused is a constant struggle for me in general so I can't allow myself to be continually distracted while I'm working.
I'm distracted very easily. That was my biggest issue in the beginning. I'm naturally competitive, so the ranking system jumped out at me as just another challenge. But I often find myself distracted by the community when I'm trying to focus on a lesson..still working on that.
Ranking is more to do with your engagement with the WA community, it's got nothing to do with how well your site is.
You could be ranking at 1000 because you are more concerned with your business than engaging here.
Both are good but one needs to find a balance and that's up to you.
I've found a formula now, thank works excellently for me.
I work on building a business, working with a mentor, making things visible and accessible when they're ready, and helping at least twice for every once I'm helped here. Even Kyle suggests that ratio in the tasks sections of the course lessons.
More is the personal preference of individuals...
It has nothing to do with your knowledge and Everything to do with how you are helping Promote WA and its presence.
Do you Blog, Answer Questions, Hang around online, Like posts. It is all about WA.
I've seen many members here with top 200 rankings or sub 500 rankings. I look at their websites and find it to be not very well put together. Like bmark said, help when you can but focus on writing good content for your site.
I noticed that as well, At first I was a little overwhelmed at all the activity on this site, but I think I got a pretty good understanding now...thanks
It just tells you how active you are within the community:
Answering questions
Asking questions
Creating Blog Posts
Helping members with questions ect..
the more active you are the lower the number gets.. its good that you would be willing to help people but rank would be the least of my worries as it will not help you with your online business and make money..
hope this helps..
Yes it does...but helping people is just what I do...the ranking doesn't affect that at all...however...lol...I read something about ranking leading to certain "Perks". I was just curious.

I feel like something is missing from the "About me" page on my site...please check it out and let me know what you think. http://tgiflizzy.com/about-me
Take your time Jimmy! Its not a sprint...it's a marathon. Let me know if I can help. I'm going fast because $50 a month is a bit of a stretch for me...so I'm gonna get everything I can while I can. Hopefully it will pay for itself soon.
yeah, I know this is what mostly worried about on how we could at least leverage something that will pay our monthly premium.
I work a part time job to pay for my membership. There is no turning back for me know. All of you have lifted me up making me want this so much that I have burned all my bridges behind me. Flizzy you are going to rock WA.
Why thank you sir!! Right back at ya! I must admit this is the most excited I've been about working online in years. I'm actually doing it this time!! LOL WOOOOOO!! LOL
I agree with Marlinda. Because you'll get the sure benefit of completely neutral feedback, from non-followers as well....
We're all so human, we tend to be a bit biased in favor of our friends.....☺☺☺
I think I made a mistake. I was following the instructions in lesson 8 of the Bootcamp...I meant to post this question there.
Hey Flizzy! :)
You can get help for this in the feedback section. When you get enough credits choose your about page to get feedback on.
Hope this helps :)
