Tip 86 do not unfollow on suspicion
Do not unfollow on suspicion
We are not living in a police state, nor in a dictatorship. At least, I hope so!
I noticed members are calling others to unfollow. I tried that. Well. To be honest. Very bad tip.
- First result: dropping down in rank. So following helps ranking
- Second: unfollowed a lot of innocent starter people just because their profile is not perfect. I feel so ashamed. And hope you did not the same. So I refollowed all. Sorry guys, stupid me.
- Third: every person has right of privacy. Know that a person with a gravatar has an identity and can be traced. Gravatar is a great way to select commentors. And site comments is founded on this. A safe way also to comment or accept comments.
I hope my testimony helps others to overcome fear and suspicion. To help each other at the level where we are. ... also those who are less perfect, shy or just prudent. To reach out!
Thank you for liking, sharing and comments
PS1
I do follow back.
PS2
My family wanted me not to post my profile... so, I invented the fleeky one.
For those who unfollowed me because of that... or blocked me for no reason, kindly revert. Thank you. Please know some have fake accounts With profiles... all seems OK, but is not... and soon reveals as reported by many. We are not here to panic about the others. Thank you !

Ah, yes, Lucinda. She will submit a new book review on Thursday. In it, she will explain how she learned to read and to type her articles.
Good exercise for the imagination, is Lucinda.
Your on my list, some great posts on your site, would not want to miss any. so Unfollow not for me.
So kind of you to tell me...
perhaps i Have Indian blood... taking a picture is theft of soul...
;-)
😻
The wonderful thing about following others at any stage they are at is that every person has something to offer.
I have learned from so many here already. Some are newbies and others are established WA members 2 plus years.
Great points!!
Tried and true to echo our sweet Elaine that We all miss...
Yes... marvelous portraits indeed...and beautiful shared sites too...
Thank you
🥰
This post is a little gem.
Personally, I only unfollow+ignore the people who ignore me and the rude ones.
Do not ignore if you do not want to be ignored.
So true...
Love your pic! Are you an olympic swimmer?
I love swImming ... was once selected for the olympic games but did not go... it was the time where all people of certain countries were so heavily drugged we had no chance... no regrets... what a fake comedy that was! But that was long ago...
Sadly not... I just won a couple of regional competitions years ago.
I love swimming too, but not that good for the Olympic games (not even close), so I will take a bow.
My real passion is soccer and I was promising, but I blew out my ankle when I was 18. I only play it with friends now.
No regrets anyway, I have got a beautiful family and I am going to be very successful with WealthyAffiliate!
Oh my.. that is the most painful!... needs 7 years to heal... so no panic...
Yes... you are going to be successfull
Glad you have a great family surrounding you...
greatest treasure we have
Make sure to balance time
;-)
You're right, there's no need to panic. If we take the time to be discerning as we interact with each person, we'll find out who is the real deal and who has ulterior motives. I have too much at stake with the goals I'm here to accomplish to let other things distract me. :) Thanks for the post! Colleen
Yes Colleen... i am ashamed to say i spend an hour unfollowing... and realized it was not right... we are not policeofficers in office , just vigilant! Wa can trace all....
All rowing the same boat learning ....
Thank you for your precious time
❤️
Thank you! We all get worried about spammers and hackers, and it's good that suspicious activity gets reported. But that's no reason to just assume any profile is one that needs to be shunned just because of lack of details.
When I started last year, I was right at the start of our busy season at the post office--wanting to get out of there was one of the reasons I started my online business! I became a member and then upgraded to premium with the Black Friday sale.
However, I wasn't able to do much at all until January when things slowed down. I'd hate to think that my inactivity would have been seen as suspicious by anyone.
You never know anyone's situation, so I myself will always try to err on the side of welcoming someone until there is proof otherwise. You gave a great reminder to all of us!
Janelle
Yes Janelle... fear is a bad advisor... never follow
Had to learn that again...
Thank you for your kind share... we all have good reasons untill proof of contrary.
Fleeky you are an angel. I do encourage new folks to embellish their profile so we can know them better if they are uncomfortable with their picture and I can understand the reason for this, use a caricature as you did. Every good advice.

The potential for scams are around us every single day. That doesn't mean that we should unfollow others based on their choice to not post a photo of themselves, or in providing a vague profile description. So many that come to WA have been burned by online scams, so they can't help but be skeptical that this too is not the real deal. All we can do is be friendly and helpful. Sure if you get PMs that are questionable, then that is a judgment call as to whether or not to report and unfollow. I just keep plugging along, regardless of what others may say.
Yes... so true...
Thank you for telling me
Much appreciated...
