Nice one, Fleeky
Having set up a few Categories and Tags, I use them to build dropdown menus.
For example ...
Rather than using the standard WP menu set up for a Blogroll...
- I have one category called Blog
- and any number of others set up to represent a group of logically related blogs
Then in a menu I add the Blog category with other categories and/or Tags as submenu headings.

Yes, very keen!
You can do the same, less complicated, in wordpress
Have a look here Tip 157 create a home page in wordpress (Took me a while to find out...)
Thank you for commenting and sharing your use of categories!

Yes, I know, and that's the way I've been creating my menus until recently.
The problem I have with WP encouraging the use of the built-in method of creating a static page and blogroll is that it can only be used once ...
... whereas by building menus, using categories, you can of course build more than one drop-down menu system... which I've learned most people don't realise.
:-)
Richard
Uh...
I am using my menus, just adding the blogpost, set in settings... it generates a post with your latests posts...
Did you try that?

Ah-ha ... that's the standard way of creating a static home page and blogroll in WP. I thought you were suggesting something else.
The thing is, you can only create one blogroll that way.

I finally found out what all the error messages in terms of SEO were from Google and AIO SEO plugin was related to..... it was purely the sitemap inclusion.
I have SEMRUSH set to do a site audit every 30 days on my main site and yesterday I decided for once to have a closer look at what the SEMRUSH report told me...
