20 Months with WA: How's My Website Doing
Hi WAers,
It's been a while since I posted my last website update.
To be honest, so there's not so much time to post regular update here because I've been focusing on growing my website.
But I want to continue motivating you, whether you are a new WA members or existing ones, to follow WA lessons in order to reach your success.
Here's my current website stats:
Pageviews:
I reached 100,000 monthly pageviews, wohooo...
One of WA members recently interview me what's the secret of reaching this level of pageview, and my answer is very simple.
Follow WA lessons, use low-hanging-fruit keywords in your post, write good quality content, repeat.
E-mail subscribers:
I started growing my subscribers May last year, and today my e-mail list is growing on auto-pilot.
I almost reach 3K subscribers, with 100 new subscriber joining each week (in average). If you are wondering what did I do to grow my e-mail list, feel free to read my previous blog post about offering freebies to your audience-> https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/fiftarina/blog/8-f...
Income:
To be honest, nothing change much compared to last year income. I was almost double my income when Amazon released the latest commision change. So, it sinks again, lol.
It hurts, but this opens up my mind that I should not depend on Amazon too much.
I started to try other income source, which is ads.
If you follow my website update, you may know that I got rejected by Google Adsense earlier.
But, now that my pageview has soared so high, I decided to apply to a very popular ad-network, which caters to bloggers with high pageviews.
And the result?
It's less than 2 weeks since the new ads was installed and I'm happy to report that my ads RPM has increased so much from $0.31 (with Amazon CPM Ads) to $5.61. Wohoo...
The best thing is I don't need to tweak the ads by myself, my ad network do all of this for me.
If your website has a decent page views, say 50K or higher, I highly recommend you to apply to one of these ad networks:
(1) Mediavine: require 30K sessions per month
(2) AdThrive (which I currently use): require 100k page views per month.
Special thanks to @LaurenJean for telling me that I should apply for AdThrive ;)
What's next?
I'm still doing some experiments on how to further grow my traffic and increase my conversion rate. So, here's what I'm doing behind the scene:
(1) Planning some tricks to increase my Amazon affiliate earning
(2) Planning my product launch (this is scary, I've putting it off for half a year, but I'm coming back again and finally getting serious, wish me luck).
I hope this post can inspire new and existing WA members that you have exactly the same opportunity or even better to reach the same level of success that I have.
Final Tip: follow Kyle & Carson's lessons, stay focused (don't be easily attracted with other shiny objects), and take action.
Cheers,
Rina

Thanks for your inspirational post, Rina. I have a question and would be glad for an answer and of course anyone can also give an answer respectively.
I would like to when you started to realize earnings after signing up or launching your website/s with WA.
Thanks ...
I had my very first earning on September 2015, see this post: My First Sale! . So it was about 2 months after starting my website in WA, but it was only $0.08.
But everyone has a different timeline for that. Don't be discouraged if you have not reached this state yet.
Thank you. But have you ever seen how this thing works? It takes over the site and it is full of annoying ads. No way I would allow this in my site. you have no control.
Yep that is correct. Nathaniell has done that with some (or most) of his sites. I do not like it at all. Even the video's or images you link on your site get stupid banners.
I am not a fan of any form of ads, apart from small buttons I would place myself on the sidebar or something towards affiliate programs.
Actually, you can control how many ads you want to display on your website. It's not true that the ad is taking over the site. If that's the case, I believe the overall pageview will go down because the readers are annoyed by the ads. But the truth is, they stay. And the pageview is still climbing up consistently. No effect on bounce rate either.
Afterall, you can always try and if you hate it, just stop doing it =).
I'm still working on adding new and helpful content to it, but I'm starting to see an uptick in daily traffic and I can often times get onto the second page of Google!
I think if I just keep doing what I've been doing, I should gain more of Google's trust and be able to get onto page #1 with no problem!
