I want to transfer an existing site to WA. Does this other site have to be a blog format? Can it be something totally different?

hey hi Dorri --- it's all ok!

Good question and all questions are good ones here!

It's best if your existing website is built with WordPress and here's a post by our Marvelous Marion on how best to do it:

Thank you. However it is not a WP site. I built it before the WP education I received here. Not a Blog either. I will look at a few more hosting programs and then see what to do. Thank you for your help! Love and Light

... of course, you can always consult with our awesome Site Support (via Help Center) regarding your site move >> simply initiate a service request with all the detailed particulars of your existing site (+ url) and of how / what it's built on .... and try to go from there ...

.... hope it all works out for you ... cheerio .... :)

Thank you I appreciate the help. I wanted to bring two more here but seems a bit daunting especially if not blog style; which they are not. Still thinking. Love and light

.... it's all ok --- take your time -- after all, it's your own investments in YOU! .... all the best .... ⭐️😊⭐️

Is there a way for me to know why my site is not getting clicks, or attention? I've done everything to the letter through my training so now I am confused? Or disappointed may

You could run it through Ubersuggest

Hello.. there are many reasons for little traffic.. how old is your site? How many blogs do you have, do you blog regularly? Talking of the SEO.. is that all up to date? Good keyword choices? Relevant content? Have you looked at your page ranking in jaaxy.. and what sort of traffic have you got? I’m happy to offer help with this. if I can!☺️

I have been creating since August 209. I have about 16 blogs and 17 articles. Yes blog daily if possible. Talking of the SEO?
Keyword choices reviewed and solidified through Jaxy. Relative content yes. Other than that I am perplexed.

Hey. Your website is far to new to worry about rankings and traffic at this stage. personally I wouldn't worry about that side of things until you have been blogging consistently for at least 6 months. As long as your SEO is on point and you keep writing engaging content, then your traffic will eventually come. But like I said it is far to early to even think you should be getting lots of traffic yet.

Although I am in a seriously competitive niche, so I knew it would take me much longer, I didn't see traffic personally until I hit the year mark.

I often thought throughout the first year, I was doing something wrong, but the key is to keep plugging away trust the training and not letting it get you down. These are the stumbling blocks that separate the successful from the ones that don't make it.

I hope that helps.

I agree with others on the thread.. it’s much too new to rank anywhere.. it takes a lot of time and persistence, determination in times like this to press on.. engagement will come but without paying for traffic, which to be totally honest might just not be worth it yet, I would keep producing keyword rich content.. I stay away from

Ok, thank you. Might have to become a back burner then while I go get a job to feed myself until this takes off. Thought the timeline was a bit closer than a year. Appreciate your help too.

Thank you so much for your help and appreciate the help ideas. Going to try some of those too. Love and light!

Hi Dorri, I agree too, that your website is still in the infancy stage. For my first website, which I don't think was too competitive, it took me about 60 posts to finally see some results in traffic. For my 2nd website which is in a very competitive niche, it took about 100 posts to start seeing a climb in traffic.

When you say you have 16 blogs and 17 articles, are you referring to the 16 blog posts in here (WA)? If so, those are not counted. Only what you create on your own website will add to its content, and hence credibility and authenticity in the eyes of the search engines.

So if you are having 17 posts and pages on your website, it's still early days. Keep plugging on, and you will get there.

If you have limited time, focus on your website content, rather than blogging here at WA, if you have to make a choice.

Blogs here at WA are great to help you document your journey, get support, suggestions for ideas, motivate others, and even to rant. But they do not add value to your website per se.

Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for your comments and information.

Hi, impossible to know the reason without taking a look at your site and going from there. Feel free to Private Message me your site and I would be happy to take a look.

Thank you, I PM'd you.

Hi can anyone tell me why there can be ads on my home page on the top and large? You can't even tell what website it is before the ad. www.loveandlightpath.com

Could it be that your ads have been set for auto placement? Choose non-auto ones, then you can control location and size.

Ok I am feeling a bit slow after this comment. Can you help me to know where I am to find this. I have spent all day trying to go here and there to do exactly that. Sorry for the trouble. I am just a my wits end.

Hi Dorri, in your Adsense account, in the left hand menu, under 'Ads', choose 'Ad units', and create a new Ad unit from there. I think if you do not do this, the default ads are automatically placed.

Let me know if you can find it.

Thank you so much. Will try this.

Google is asking me to upload a file HTML in order to verify the site ownership. How can I do this? I am not getting any click through data due to this issue.

Here is what they are asking for. How can I do this?

Are you trying to transfer the host from WA to another one, right? If so, you need to copy the TXT record provided into the DNS configuration on WA (where your site is currently hosted). You may want to contact WA support to get this done.
Tom

No, there was a problem with my site being able to get verified. All is well in that realm now. Thank you for trying to help. Appreciate it!

Glad to hear that and you’re welcome. Either way, even though you were not transferring the host, the verification is the same that must be done where your site is hosted.

I have been doing well by getting used to Blogging daily. Here is my issue. I already blogged for today. I am in the middle of training #4 and it asks me to Blog about WA.

You can blog anywhere, esp on your website. Continue with your training. No worries...

The restriction is only for blogging on the Wealthy Affiliate platform. You can publish as much as you want on your own website.

I didn't think about that. I could set up a blog section within my website also. Great! Thank you.

Hi - you can only blog once per day, for your first 3 months of membership. Don't let it hold up your training.

Ok, just was trying to go the steps as they were intended. I feel like I am cheating. LOL thank you

Confused here. Marion says once per day and you have more than once if we have been here more then 3 months. Is that correct? I just shared by ambassador letter from Kyle and had another blog I wanted to try and do tonite. Should I just wait til in the am?
