I have my own privacy policy but do we have appropriate security measures in place that protect users’ personal information
The same as me and Kyle in the live chat.
As payments are processed via Stripe, it is between them and stripe.
Hi, Helen
I would take steps to put the appropriate security measure in place and then spell that out in your privacy policy.

Does the privacy policy at wa cover sensitive information stored on my website here?

If the FTC has a concern, they are going to look at what you've done to protect information, not what WA has done. Make sure that anything you collect is absolutely protected. It shouldn't be anything more than email addresses, right?

I am looking for someone in the USA to help in my business. Is this something I can advertise here for someone?
Hi - officially, you can't hire another WA member and pay them for their services.
But you can "collaborate" with somebody else and come to an agreement on who does what, the division of labour and costs, how the profits are shared, etc.
Ideally, draw up a contract so there is no misunderstanding, and you probably need to approach someone you perceive as trustworthy.
Ok so what I had intended was that they would receive 50% of profits on any sales they procure. Is that the sort of thing you mean?
Yes, as you might know, Partha and I are collaborating on 3 websites together, and we share the profits equally.
That type of agreement is fine; you are not paying them for their services; you are working together.
I would suspect that we can't, Helen! I will still be interested to see some other answers though!
Jeff
Thanks Jeff. I hoped we could, as it would mean I would have someone who was motivated and supportive. But yes, Ill wait and see.

Hi. I am wanting to move my website back to WA from a third party but they’re being awkward and won’t simply change the name servers. They say they’re sending
you need the domain moved and the third party have no right to prevent you from moving it( unless you signed a contract which allows them to do this)
having just the files will allow a siterubix site to be created, but not your original domain...
the hosting for that needs to be moved for the domain to hte wa servers before it can be restored onto that...
you will need to keep going at the third party to release the domain...
i hope you get it sorted Helen
If your site has content you need get in touch with site support for further instructions.
They will typically ask you for FTP info and your domain name, they'll set up a siterubix subdomain and upload files then you can check everything is okay before you point your domain to WA servers.
