If asked many of us can quickly define our strengths. Usually, it is the things that we have the most passion for, it just comes with the flow there is nothing that beats the feeling of accomplishment or the exhilaration that we feel in just doing something well. So thinking we can usually come up with at least three things that we do well. We do not have to be that best all that is required in the initial phases is that we give it our best shot.

If we take the things that we can do well we can maximize our potential by refining our strengths, getting better improving our positions polishing if you like. One thing that top performers seem to do is that they never profess to know it all and are continually looking for those things that will enhance their performance. Another thing that sticks out like a sore thumb is that they have this overriding focus when engaging they are totally focused on the outcomes.

So looking at what we do well it is possible to refine our strengths by focusing on the strengths that we already have. One of the keys is the realization that we can not be everything to all people we can only in real terms be true to ourselves.

On the flip side of the coin, we have our weaknesses which can be as diverse as there are folks on the planet. They are naturally a bit harder to define, in a simplistic approach banging on the door of the things that we procrastinate about is a very good starting point. It is hard to do that look inside and front up sometimes, but well worth the effort it doesn't have to be earth shattering. Sometimes just a little tweak here and there can bring about massive change and advancement. it is definitely a mindset thing. front footing our weaknesses can be challenging.

When crafting our online stories, there can be as many challenges as there are hours in the day. I am finding that even looking at one thing, it may be a day, a week or month, but just concentrating on one area that we are not proficient and working on lifting our knowledge and performance can pay huge dividends.

It doesn't matter where we start it is all about where we finish.

So today's weakness with a little focus and energy can become tomorrow's new proficiency. So don't delay start today working on that one weakness that is causing you some grief.

This is a great post Alexander. The trouble with me is that I have too many weaknesses. No doubt, identifying the greatest weakness and working on that is the answer.

Having just typed the above sentences, I realize that time management is my greatest weakness. So you've helped me tremendously to identify my problem. Now I need to find the solution!

Thanks so much Alexander :)

Hi Valerie, so pleased to be of help to you. So true we all have areas where we could improve our performance, one of the hardest things to do is to front up to them. Once we start to tackle them usually results will follow. best wishes as you tackle time management.

Thank you Alexander.

That is great advice. Sure don't have to go far in this community to find all kinds of great advice.

Hi Dale you certainly hit the nail on the head there we are blessed to be in such good company, thank you for stopping by.

I couldn't agree with you more Alexander. I have failed in the past as I had tried to improve on too many thing at once. Working on them one at a time is the better solution. Thanks for your advice.

I like your bllog and I agree with and I will strive to acknowledge and work on my weaknesses

I think in striving to be authentic, we embrace everything about ourselves: the good, the bad and the ugly! Without the bad, we can't see the good; without our weaknesses, we won't be abke to tap into our stengths; and without the ugly, we won't let the beauty of our being shine outward, and provide a light to others.

Just to clatify: by "ugly" I am not referring to outter appearances, but rather, things in our character that diminsh our true beauty, like pride, bitterness and envy.

Thanks Alex. Great post. I know what my weaknesses are because they are the things I avoid the most. I'm getting better at it. Thanks for sharing this.

Cover yourself and you cover all the bases!

Thanks for this Alexander. So very true and sometimes people tend to focus on their weaknesses rather than their strengths. Xx

Well said Cheryl sometimes indeed we can over focus on a weak point it is always to take them on board and create solutions to move us forward, always good to cultivate our strengths as well, thank you for sharing.
