It's time for your daily dose of Wordpress Wisdom! In today's quick tutorial I'll show you how to link from one area of your post to another area in the same post. This is called HTML anchoring and it's like creating a "jump link" where your audience clicks on some text and then they are taken immediately to the section of the post that corresponds with that text.

You see this often with FAQ type posts where the questions are all at the top of the post and clicking on any question will take you down directly to the answer found later in the post.

As always, feel free to share this video with anyone needing help with this. If you have any Wordpress related questions that you'd like to see me create a tutorial around feel free to send me a private message or leave me a message on my profile.

If you want to check out all my Wordpress Wisdom tutorials you can go to the WA smart search up top (magnifying glass) and type in "Wordpress Wisdom" or just head over to my blog.

Cool video! I've wondered how to do that and now I Know! Cheers, Eric 🙂

Glad to help!

Another great one Eric. Could you use that to anchor from your page contents list right to a heading, or all the headings on your content list.?
Paudge

Table of contents blocks do this automatically 👍🏼

Yeah, how silly of me not to know that. Thanks Eric.

Thank you! I am going to make a page with an A-Z list so my readers can click on the letter of what they're looking for, but I had no idea how to do it yet!

Very cool, Eric, thanks!

No problem!

Absolutely!
