I set up an Amazon account for my website, using my website email (via WA) and a password. I have a pre-existing Amazon account (different email address, different password).
Update: I sent another request to Amazon this afternoon and this time I got an email back to say that it has been passed to the technical team and that I 'should recover the full use of the tool within 72 hours'. Result!
Hi Feigner, yes that's a good suggestion. It's already enabled and the options are ticked to display links etc.
Hopefully it'll get resolved soon.

Hi Ellie I have had really good response from Amazon through chat. It is on the contact us page just to the right of the email form. Then you can chat with somebody in real time. Chat is available weekdays during normal business hours. Hope this helps
Hello, that's amazing that they have a Chat function. It's not visible on my site (amazon.co.uk) but I wonder if that is because I'm in the UK or I'm usually working outside normal business hours. I'll keep looking.
Thanks
Ellie

My first few articles were written in Site Content - all were indexed quickly. The next few were cut and pasted directly into the Dashboard - these have yet to be indexed. Th
I can't say if site content indexes your content faster than if you were to write a blog post on the back end of your site.
I do know that with site content once you publish your content and it gets indexed you get an email from WA about it. Now with writing on the back end you don't get that notification unless you look at the google search console.
You can manually have your content indexed through google search console and through bing webmaster tools.
The thing is you will have to go through the process of signing up for an account and doing the verification process. also submitting a sitemap will help with google and the search engines crawl your site for indexing.
One thing I have learned though is that even if you manually ask bing or google to index your content they will do it wen they get to it. If that makes sense?
Thanks Matthew, I've made a start on the Google Search Console and have asked WA support to help with that. What you say about the emails makes sense. Maybe the other posts (not via Site Content) are indexed and I've just thought they weren't because I didn't get an email?
I'll investigate a site map next :)
Many thanks again
Ellie
Interesting question, I have no idea of the answer though, sorry. I look forward to hearing the answer, as I had 9 posts waiting for over 9 days to get indexed. My posts were written and published in site content, but it wasn't until I manually asked for indexing that it happened? Maybe it was because I was a new site? Maybe it will happen quicker now? who knows, it is all a bit of a mystery at the moment lol
What Luizcastel said hahaha I had to do something in GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE. But that was a whole afternoon of tears lol. If you search google search console and then you link to your site. they will ask you to copy some code into your website to prove your identity. This took me about 2 hours, then I gave up and got the technical help people on it, and they input it for me. Sorry I can't be more help with the technical stuff.
Sara, in the link I posted to Ellie, it shows we cant do the code thingy on WA, you need to message support!
This is why you wasted your time with no result... check the link!
Best way to make sure your articles are indexed is building a SITEMAP... then GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE will steadily search your website and you won't need to worry or hope, it will happen!
I believe only difference is actually you get NOTIFIED when you write in content... by indexation also depend on your website dynamics... and BRANDING!
Make sure you authenticate PROPERLY your google search console... let me find you a quick training for that :D

I've changed the name of a post (to reflect new keyword) I created in WP. When I typed in the new title and saved, I noticed that the permalink still shows the old title (and
No. Always leave the permalink alone. I mistaken messed around with mine once and it became a big mess. You can change the title, just leave the permalink the way it is.
The same thing happened to me. She probably wants to change the title so a better keyword will be visible to Google. Which one will Google consider when indexing? Thanks!

How long before affiliate links come through? I've applied to Amazon and 3 niche-specific affiliate programs. Waiting 4-5 days now.
Hi - yes, you can. I am surprised you haven't heard from Amazon, they approve everybody but you do have to make 3 sales within 180 days which isn't easy until you are getting traffic.
Yes you can continue on with training. If needed you can always go back to your posts and insert affiliate links. With amazon it's automatic approval. Once you make your first sale they will manually investigate your site to make sure its not breaking the amazon rules.

I'm using the Elegant Pink theme for mywebsite www.pinkpluspearls.com.
I don't like how it look
Most of these things you can do within the themes settings, but some things like fonts for example would need to be to be done by editing the themes php files directly. Unless you know what you’re doing with php I strongly recommend you don’t do this.
But like I said, many things can be done within the theme. I recommend you watch some tutorials on Wordpress.
