Don't Let The Spark Go Out
Today at church our minister talked about something that I thought was very interesting. Well what he talked about I will change somewhat to fit WA but the topic is still the same.
Feed The Fire And It Will Grow feed the fire it will grow
So, if we take this concept and apply it to our website or work here at Wealthy Affiliate the same concept is true.
For example, if we choose to work on our website by writing posts, publishing consistently, updating frequently, and linking articles. In other words, we are feeding the fire.
What our minister talked about was that when he was younger that they lived in a house that had a fireplace that was a see through. One fireplace that was in both the living room and the family room. His parents were cool because even when it was 100* outside they would build a fire if the kids asked for it. They would also let the kids put anything the kids wanted in the fire. So if, they wanted to put sister's barbie in the fire they could. The boys loved to put racket balls in the fire because they would change colors. To make a long story short, they would feed the fire!! Then it was bedtime.
Stop feeding
The boys would go to bed with the fire blazing and get up to a very small spark of a fire. Why is that? Because no one had been feeding it!!
The same is true with our website. If we stop writing content, stop publishing, stop updating and linking pages then our website begins to die:( Why? Because we are no longer feeding it! are no longer feeding it.
So are you feeding your website regularly?

This is a good concept for building your website. You have to keep adding contents and updating it, in order to get traffic.
Thanks for sharing.
Simple yet powerful. There are times feeding the fire is tough, but its stories like yours that inspires!
Thanks for sharing.

That is a cool post Elaine, it stretches across every aspect of internet marketing, if we do not make an effort then we will lose that edge, if we don't produce content, it start skipping the of day here and there it is so easy to lose momentum.
Thanks for the inspiring reminder.
it is so important Elaine it is so easy to let things slip, so we do need to stoke the fires one of the really positive things about the community here at WA everyone wants everyone else to succeed.
OK so I need to buy some more gas for my Chainsaw in order to cut more wood for the fire. I get it!
Good analogy you’re right I guess somebody has to feed it hire somebody, a guest post or someone to keep the fire going
You don't have to hire someone just care for your business yourself.

Thanks Karen. I love how we can get things from others places if me just look and listen!
Excellent point, Elaine. Besides, we should really get into the habit of writing content, updating, getting comments, etc. I know it's easier said than done, but these businesses of ours need nurturing. Best of luck to you!
If you want to see a blaze then feed it but when you need to take a break then bank it so you will still have a spark. Great post.
Jerry
Thanks Jerry. I agree with you, we need to break but have a back up so our spark doesn't die.
