4 Years At Wealthy Affiliate: What A Ride!

August makes it 4 years I've been at Wealthy Affiliate and I always like to reflect a little each year.

I'm extremely grateful to be in a community like this one and I'm happy like this one exists. I've met a lot of great people, gotten awesome advice and tips from a lot of different people and have been fortunate enough to help some people along the way as well.

Here's a little timeline of what's gone on in those 4 years:

Year 1: I was brand new to affiliate marketing and making money online. Didn't know a single thing about SEO or anything like that. I created a website that didn't really go anywhere but I learned the basics (writing content, keyword selection) as well as the discipline needed to be a successful affiliate.

Year 2: Took what I learned and put t into a new niche and got it to around $2,000 in under 6 months. unfortunately, I lost this site to a Google update but still learned a lot.

Year 3: I built another site and this one to around $4500 a month in 7 months (most months were around $2000 however). I sold it for $40,000 about 9 months after starting it.

Year 4: Built another website that got to $2,000 a month in 6 months and sold it for $30,000 in about 9 months after starting it.

I did 4 years of college and left with $30,000 worth of debt and no real life skills. In 4 years at Wealthy Affiliate I nearly made $100,000 and have skills I can reapply in a million different ways.

Which one produced better results?

My lone regret is that I didn't find Wealthy Affiliate sooner.

At this point I consider myself an intermediate affiliate marketer with much room to grow. I don't want to sell any websites for a while and my goal now is stability and to grow my monthly income.

I'm on my way to my 4th site breaking $2,000 a month with my new Make Money At Home Site and as it stands it's on pace to make around a $1000 month (if it holds steady) and I'm guessing it'll keep going up as I pump out more and more content.

Once I hit that $2,000 a month spot I'm going to turn my attention back to Amazon sites and start building more of those. I plan on using Filipino writers (I already use one and she's amazing) thanks to Jerry's training on hiring them and to build as many Amazon sites as I can in the next 3 to 5 years. I think I can do 1 a year.

The goal is $10,000+ per months and I think I can get there.

So again, thank you to everyone who's helped me along the way. Even still I'm asking questions and recently solved a problem because of the Wealthy Affiliate community (I stopped getting referrals but was able to fix the issue).

I also want to thank Kyle and Carson for making this great place. There's so many scammers and rotten people in this industry and these two have decided to stand out as being honest and legitimate.
