I've Been MIA - But I'm Back!

Well, it seems like it's been ages since I've written a blog here at WA...and it has, almost 7 months! A lot has happened since then, both on my website and personal life (part of the reason I've been away for so long).

Despite not being around WA much, other than communicating with my referrals, I've still been plugging away at my primary website. I passed the 100 post mark a few months ago and have been earning a steady income each month.

Now I'll just give a run-down of some of what's been going on in terms of my site.

Income Reports

I've switched from doing Bi-Monthly Income & Progress Reports on my site to Quarterly. I found they just took too much time and, being that my time was already limited, it is better spent producing product reviews and things like that.

That being said the total revenue of my site as of December 31, 2015, was just under $2,700 with about $800 of that being profit. It's definitely not anything spectacular yet, especially since it really is a struggle to put in the time it needs to grow, but it's still a heck of a lot better than nothing!

In-Depth Product Reviews

I've also switched my strategy for doing most of my product reviews. In the past I would write a product review on any product I would find and primarily base my review on the product's sales page, without actually using the product. I found this to be a bit challenging to my conscience, so I decided I was going to bite the bullet and purchase the products when able.

On top of this, I decided that when I am reviewing a product, I want my review to be the most in-depth review out there of any given product. I know this might turn some people off, but I'm hoping that, over time, this will work to my benefit. We're talking reviews of 5,000-10,000 words!

This also means it takes me a lot longer to get fresh content out, like a week or two in-between posts. That can be a bit discouraging at times...but I'm just hoping it will all be worth it one day!

Revamped my WA Review

Going off of this, I figured it was time to re-vamp my Wealthy Affiliate Review. It was the first post I wrote almost 2.5 years ago and had hardly been updated since. So, you can imagine how bad and outdated it was! I was ashamed going back and looking at it! At the same time, it was great to see how far I had come in terms of writing content!

I also applied this super in-depth strategy to this review as well...and you know how much stuff is here at WA. Needless to say, this new WA review ended up being over 10,000 words!

Be More Involved

So, my goals now are to continue working diligently on my site and to get more involved here at WA. I don't have a direct correlation, but it seemed that when I was more involved here at WA, I was getting more referrals and more upgrades to Premium...despite less traffic on my site. I'm hoping being more active here will help on that aspect of my business as well as just keeping me more accountable to you all along the way!
