Hi...my name is Dave....I have been trying to do something online for many years with little success. My intentions are to take my 3 or 4 business experiences (I am old) and turn them into some type of sustainable income.

I spent many years working 50 or 60 hours a week (or more) helping businesses make lots and lots of money...but not really me!. At this point in my life...I would like some free time and find a means to turn my years of experience into an online business. my background is over 25 years in weight loss and nutrition teaching (worked with many thousands too loss weight or stay healthy)...and...I consulted, managed or owned businesses where I was used to analyze and then improve someones business process to make them profitable or more profitable. I have worked in the automotive business...running auto repair and tire businesses...owned a used car lot...worked in various venues in real estate from development to flipping a few house to the manufactured home industry on many different levels (from starting in sales to GM to State Sales Manager to Independent Consultant.). I have begun trying to write my experiences and training methods into some form to put online. I need to take the time to learn the online business and hope this program will provide it.

On a personal level...I played rugby into my early 50's, ran 5 miles a day to train during that time, have survived throat cancer., followed the Pittsburgh Steelers since a kid...going to many games including 1 Super Bowl...followed Indy Racing because I had a friend involved in it...and hope top get back to running and maybe coaching but need an income and time to do so..

I have 3 grown kids and 2 teenage step kids..I am old...and have flipped my "odometer" several times.. so I hope to turn my experience...both successful and not so successful....into a business to help others succeed...be it in business....weight loss and health...or just life..

Hi Dave, you certainly have got about a bit eh! Wow! I think you´re all set and ready and raring to go with all that experience and have picked yourself up consistently so this should be a breeze with WA.Not that I´m an expert but I think they´ve got every angle covered but if not there are so many people here with so much knowledge.I really hope you get all that you desire and enjoy all that hard graft you´ve put in over the years. Thanks for the follow and nice to meet you! :)

Have you ever bothered to read God's Instruction Manual from Genesis thru Revelation (Preferably an Amplified version in a study bible) Add it to this course and you will have a solid rock foundation guided by spirit and truth in YASHUA. That is what this Navy & Army man is doing after I continue following a ten day break. Every day is a gift -- so don't worry about your odometer since Almighty God Orders your days with His Divine plan and will for you.

Hello Dave,

I am sure you can use all your life experience to find something you are passionate about. If you are really into football there are many things to talk about and lots of products to sell. I am a Seahawks fan myself so I know I would be interested. Wishing you great success here and beyond.

Thank you for connecting and following.

Dave,
I read your profile and understand the ideal state of flipping the odometer. Time is a measure that I chose to erase in order to move forward. I see time as only the distance between eternity. We are here for only one purpose, to help others. You are helping others and that is what really matters.

Hello Dave: You honor me with your follow. WA has a great education on online marketing. To supplement it, go to HubSpot Academy and to High Paying Affiliate Programs. At HubSpot academy first view Content Marketing; there are other free videos that will prove to be invaluable.

There is much to learn. First you must establish that solid learning foundation to know how to focus your artillery and how to deploy your forces to get that online succe$$. It is most important that you get that foundation before you proceed, or you are just wasting your time and money and effort. This will take time and grit and patience; if you lack these, do something else.

Hi Dave and a big welcome to the WA Community! Thanks for the follow!

Now that you have established your business goals, stay focused, motivated, and determined and you will succeed. I am now into week four with WA and on day 7, I ranked #1 and page 1 on Google.

Don't hesitate to reach out for help--I sure did! I also used the search bar at the top of each page where you will find articles, blogs, and videos with step-by-step instructions on how to complete any tasks.

May you have continued success in not only meeting but exceeding your business goals!

Hi Dave, nice to hear from you. I, Helen from Tasmania, look forward to getting to know you my new WA friend. Sorry about the delay in responding but I am a bit slow at the moment. Trying to do too many things at once.

You certainly look like you have lots on the go so keep on trucking to success.

Keep working hard, having fun and don’t forget to ask questions.

A very nice boss once told me, ‘Helen, when you ask a silly question everyone else breathes a collective sigh of relief because they don’t have to!’ And that is so true. No question is silly so ask away.

If I can’t help I might be able to point you in the right direction.

Now let us keep in touch.

Ciao

Thank you so much for the following. I have returned the favor. I have found that as I age so does the age of which I call old! I refuse to get old and want to continue to push that age out as long as I can. I bet the teenage kids keep you young at heart!

Dear David,

Good Day!
Congratulations on your achievements.
Start your business beginning with a niche(sounds redundant, but online business depends on it: a large group of people , who have needs and wants and want to buy product or service from you, the product or service you offer them.), That is where your website comes in next; site and site content that targets your niche(audience). This is what it is about, inside or outside WA.

There is a famous quote from Mark Twain:

"If it's your job to eat a frog, it's best to do it first thing in the morning. And if it's your job to eat two frogs, it's best to eat the biggest one first."

And that just means - do your hardest task first or at least as soon as you can in the morning. If you do this then the rest of your day is easy from there!

ANYWAY…

Hello, Dave thanks for the follow and welcome to WA. You are definitely in the right place!

People have plenty to share and there is plenty to learn also so take your time and enjoy the experience.

I may not be among the top 200 list anymore (because I don’t socialize here much) but I do have many interesting posts on my site (no seriously I do!) and some you might really like, many people do. I have over 5,000 positive comments, so take a look and get some ideas as to what you can do with your site.

Let me know if I can help you in any way

Cheers Peter :)

hello Dave,
I just wanted to say thank you for your follow and let you know that I'm reciprocating.
I have been involved in a project that has taken up a lot of my time over the past few months and hence it appears that I have dropped off the radar screen! However I am determined to spend the rest of this year working on WA.
A parting thought, as they say age is a state of mind and in fact it means one really belongs to a group of special people.

Hi Dave,
I have just read your profile and enjoyed your candid life's summary. There are some letters or profiles that I read up here that move me to comment as I am about to.
My background is similar to yours in many ways. I'm not sure about the age difference ( you were just vague enough for me not to be able to quite figure that one out...lol.)
I turn seventy this coming year....and like yourself feel way too experienced to sit on the couch and reminisce.
All this experience has got to be worth something...right ???
The trick is to figure out who will my experience be valuable to?
And the next best question is, "How do I reach them?"
That's where WA comes in.

You have come to the same conclusion as most of the affiliates on this platform. That is, this is the most likely place to learn how to reach more people online, with our message.

In view of the way you describe your life's course, I feel an empathy for your situation, having pretty much been there myself.
With all of that in mind I'll share some conclusions I have come to regarding my own track record and I'm more than happy to discuss this with you at a later time.

1) I spent way to much time, energy and money with people who didn't really contribute to our MUTUAL benefit.

2) I gave my knowledge and business building strategies away far too cheaply. I couldn't emphasize this strongly enough. This in itself was a huge problem as I undervalued what I had to offer and of course people being just who they are, gladly accepted it and moved on. Unconsciously and ungratefully.

3) I didn't save at least 15% of every cracker I ever earned.
This third piece of my jigsaw was probably the biggest blunder. I have seen people save vast fortunes (plenty enough for years of time out or time and money for affordable re-education) while working for a measly wage in a factory. All of this achieved on the 15% savings rule.

When I look at the WA business model, I see this platform as being able to (potentially) correct all of the above issues of mine.
WA, handled astutely and persistently can provide us all the job satisfaction we could wish for. Can provide us with all of the like minded people we could wish to collaborate with and all of the income that we need or could wish for.

All of this from a WA education program that is unbelievably, genuine value for money.
The question remains. Can we make the adjustments needed in order to reap all of the benefits available?
Billions of dollars are being made by people with average skills who are disciplined enough to learn how to reach more people, more effectively, more often.
WA is the vehicle that can teach us and lead us to these rewards.

Dave, I talk freely like this because I sense the greatest
opportunity I have seen in many years to work with people who
have been searching for the right answers.
It's the application of the things learned that is going to sort us out. However the beauty of this way of doing things (WA) is that we will only be working with the willing. We won't be out there trying to convince anyone. We will only be working with those who are sharing in our progress.
I hope this helps in some small way.

By the way, I'll discuss my thirty years of nutrition and weight loss
marketing with you sometime....lol.

my best wishes to you Dave.
Stay in touch.
Paul....from Adelaide, South Australia.

I and read your profile - I don't see where you have linked your sites to your profile so I can take a look - i have been dedicated to making this work for the last 6 months and am getting closer - but it is a lot to learn - I turn 65 next month - a rather depressing number in the age world in the US at it signals a passing to retirement or old age - I don't act or feel my age - still play a rugby match a time or 2 each year and usually train to do so - but I am determined to make this work and create a retirement income. I always assumed something I did would provide ongoing income into retirement - but I am used to making money and not really saving it - so I am off on my next adventure I guess.

It has been an interesting journey so far.

I have lots of knowledge about "things" but little practical knowledge on using the internet to profit from it - YET! Lots of work to do.

I went and read your profile - I lived down the road (A1A) from Cape Canaveral - saw may shuttle launches - was outside when the challenger blew up and had friends who worked on it. Night launches were spectacular. I miss Florida and the weather.

At that time, I lived on A1A in a little town called Indialantic about 10 to 20 miles south and across the street from the ocean. That was many lifetimes ago - when I owned several weight loss centers. At night I left windows open and could hear the waves on the beach. I miss being there.

Stay with the training here - it takes lots of learning but its all here.

Dave, how exciting that you have lived in Florida and actually have seen shuttle launches in real life! I have great memories since the trip there last year - it was amazing two weeks! The stay was just too short. The weather was just perfect and I loved to hear the waves on the beach too.

The online marketing business was unknown to me before I joined WA. I still have to learn how to use social media. Do the training and take one step onwards each day that will lead us to our goal - that I also believe in.

Keep going!

Good afternoon Dave,

Are you old? What about me? I turned 67 in May and even if I am not a teenager anymore I still behave like one sometimes. That is the good part of being "old" one can permit oneself doing such things. I read you are into health, well, I am too. Taking care how I live and what I eat will give me many more years to come.

Welcome to Premium WA Dave. Wow you are loaded with experience and knowledge. My suggestion would be for such a extensive knowledge that you have, write about them. One at a time or combine 2 that are related somehow. It is time you earned your fair share of the monetary base. Make your list of all the subjects you know about and go from there. Lots and lots of rugby here - almost all colleges have a club team - some high school programs now - a professional is supposed to be starting - hundreds and hundreds of men club in towns and cities and a pretty big women's teams penetration also - just no publicity as its been all amateur and not much of a a fan base - except the players. i started in 1971 at Miami of Ohio and that team started in 68 or 69 I think. Ether are lots and lots of teams now - and its more organized - when I was in college we had 6 ful sides and would sometimes play 3 different team on a weekend and different locations - we played men's sides - Pittsburgh - Chicago and on and on. We played in our decision the MAC and we played all the big name college in the Midwest. i played with several Eagles - the US team. I still would like to go out everyday and bang around. I miss it.

Hello - thank for the follow - Georgia Tech is a tough school - good for you and her - yes you should be proud! Weight loss and hunger has aver simple reason. I have several blogs on my site that is not done -https://legitorascam.com/ - there is an interesting young girl that has a program - Healthful Pursuit https://legitorascam.com/2017/05/19/is-healthful-pursuit-legit/- that I believe in - a little different than what I did - but it would be a strong way to loose and also improve your health - it is strictly for women - she knows what she is talking about.

What are you trying to use as a niche on here - I have spent the day with a persons from England - one in Spain - one in South Africa - and a lady north of you in Canada and two people around me near Chicago working on some marketing tools to used to market (something) - we will probably use part of it to market wealthy affiliates - maybe an "online buyers club" affiliate program and who knows what else.

It's been an interesting learning curve for me - I was and am very un-techy.

Let me know if you need anything or even some encouragement - if you are not doing so - push through the certification training and stop and ask for help when you get stuck - I havd gotten stuck a lot and then went off into other things - very stupid on my part.

Have fun.

Good luck to you - find me if you need anything or even encouragement.

Hi, Dave.
Paul Mindra here from Ontario, Canada.

Thank you for inviting me to be a part of your network. I graciously accept by following you back.

Welcome to Wealthy Affiliate University. You have a very healthy attitude and I am very pleased to make your acquaintance.

My father, who passed in 2013 left me with one thing of great value. "It is never too late to start today, what you wanted or should have started yesterday." At the age of almost sixty, he went back to higher education to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a doctor of alternative medicine. He lived his dream which became a reality right up to the time that his time expired.

Very much like you, I too, spent most of my life working for others to make their dreams come true. I am a former Professional Chef. Also, like you, I too, am getting older. We all do each and every day.

You have taken a great action by being here and investing in yourself. For me, Wealthy Affiliate University is my home away from home. I am going into my second year here. I traverse at my own pace. I am in no specific hurry. I learn what I can and apply what I can. I have not been sharing as much as I can of late. My rank went from top 200 to currently 1359. No worries....it's just a rank.

I look forward to learning more, and sharing and serving with you as we all move forward here.

Again, thank you for inviting me to be a part of your network. I am honoured.

Kindest Regards,

Paul.

Thank you for the wonderful message - I admire your father -especially with his choice of alternative medicine - a dear friend went back to school at 42 to become a chiropractor and learn alternative medicine nutrition - he passed in his 80's and had a huge influence in my life - I am not sure what the ranking means anyway. i t also seems you live you life - your way - as I seem to do. And we are never to old to learn new things. it a joy of life.

OK...Welcome and I am following you also. Listen who is old and what is old today. Age is a matter of how you feel. If your young at heart then you are still young at any age.
Take your time to study the courses and remember all our members are here to answer any questions you may have....By your age i believe you already know there is no magic or quick fix to success....Keep that it mind that it will take time; a lot of time....

Hi Dave, thanks for following me. I read your profile and you have a lot of knowledge that you can talk about on your website.

So, you worked in the automotive business. Off the subject, I love working on a car. My partner and I just restored 1978 Holden HZ Kingswood, which might be just an Australian model.

Anyway, nice to meet you and wishing you all the best!!

not familiar with that car - so that makes it more unique then - I guess - I have spent many a day or evening in a garage or sometimes in the pits at Indy car races - I am not a fan of trying to produce self driving cars. However - my friends were the "gar-heads and I was the helper - my passion for over 30 years was rugby - and still putter around a time or two a year in an old boys game. Thank you for the message

Thanks for your message, Dave. I think Holden HZ is only for Australian market but it's a Chevrolet Kommando.

So, you're a big fan of rugby. Rugby is getting very popular in Australia, too.

Thanks for the follow. I'm old too and for years I had thought and talked about doing something online. Through a roundabout way I found Wealthy Affiliates. I've created a website and blog and I've written lots of content. I recently began to try to monetize my site. All in a little over 4 months. I wish you good luck. This is the place to be. The holistic approach to health has been a big part of my life for years. Just had a discussion about that earlier with a WA member. My problem is not content or even direction - my problem is the tech-y part of it all. I am working on that but slowly.
Hope you have success your background is important info for people.

Hi Dave,

Age is a state of mind more than anything else. You're only old if you think you are. You are at the right place at the right time! I read your profile and the knowledge you have in health and fitness will benefit you and others. The diet niche in affiliate marketing is huge, right behind the make money online niche. Go through the course step-by-step in order and you will do fine. Be patient and tenacious and you will succeed. Best of luck! Private message me if you have any issues, I'll be glad to help you!

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the follow.
Well done mate you played rugby into your early 50's. Top effort.
I played rugby league but for most of my years and played rugby also due to the social side of things and the free trips. In 1979 I was suppose to go on a rugby trip to America but I couldn't make it. My parents went along on the tour for a holiday along with many other spectators who wanted to enjoy the offer of this great trip. My father use to play rugby league for South Sydney Rabbitohs in the1950's and he was in his early 50's at the time when he went on this trip. The first game on the tour was played in Hawaii against the Honolulu Harlequins (I think). A few of the boys got sick on the way over and Dad volunteered to fill in. I was informed the Harlequins? were a very big YOUNG side and took no prisoners. They told me Dad got absolutely smashed. As you know league is different to union. Dad never played union so you tend to hold onto the ball longer than you should. When he went to San Diego he put his hand up to play again AND they let him. I think the team was the San Diego Bears off memory.

Anyways "NEVER TOO YOUNG"

Best regards

Brad
