I'm doing an article on a web hosting company and I want to blend WA into this because that doesn't sound like much. Does anyone know the numbers I can use for WA in comparison
Perhaps that host is telling you that he has so much hosting speed available to you that your website could be launched in 30 seconds with as little as 2% drain on the server that he will be using for you. Just to give you a sense that hew would never be a reason for a slow responsiveness of your website if hosted with him?
I wish! Let me attach the actual wording: Server resources are limited in our shared hosting environment. You are responsible for ensuring your account doesn't consume more than 2% of server resources for a period of 30 seconds or longer, and goes on to say the company can drop you if you go over. After watching a video on youtube I found this was bad since Gator hosting offers 3x more so I was wondering where WA sits on this platform so I can upsell WA in place of this hosting company.
I think I can do this without the numbers because 50 sites per person with plugins for popups etc ours is far superior to a maximum of 12 sites with 12 GB storage. This sounds perfect for one-page wonders if you know what I mean--not something as sophisticated as we create here because our sites can handle plugins.

What does 2 percent usage for 30 sec mean in web hosting?

I made my own pop up code at mailchimp and now I need to know exactly where to put it.
I have decided that if a product puts something out then they should be able to install or at least have the information to get said product up and running. My opinion of Mailchimp is not very good. If you can't back up your product then the product is worthless. I'm seeing way too much of this these days. I will find an alternative to Mailchimp.
Yeah, they tell you to seek a developer to help so I came here and now I'm waiting on Quora...I put the question to developers and when I get the information that works I'll post it for everyone so they don't go through this. I feel like a ping pong ball lol.
Thanks for that article and I can see the code isn't even correct lol---no wonder they tell you to seek out a developer!
Hey Deborah,
The following post may offer you the help you seek: http://kb.mailchimp.com/lists/signup-forms/add-a-pop-up-signup-form-to-your-website
Thank you for the post and I was actually there and they tell you to seek a developer so I came here and was told to go back there lol. Quora is who I;m waiting on now as I posed the question to developers..with any luck, they may be able to help if not I'll have to go another route.
Can you believe someone giving you a code then telling you to seek help elsewhere?..that;s unbelievable and I bet the code doesn't work lol. Thanks again!
Trying this post, it offers a step by step: https://ambitionally.com/popupally/tutorials/mailchimp/
I went with Benchmark no plugin required and no need to make extra pages. Create your popup and insert the code into your pages and poof you're done. They have 24/7 customer service along with a pre assigned customer rep. They offer a lillte bit more than Mailchimp so Mailchimp went bye-bye(even their code isn't right). Check out this page on my website and you'll see what I mean.

Good that you got a perfect replacement for Mailchimp Deborah. Mailchimp's loss for not offering proper instructions.

I've already filled out the meta tags and descriptions, but do we need to fill out tags as well or is that the keyword thingy? I want to make sure I'm not confusing things---I'
Well, I am glad you posted this because I did not know the answer. I have read all of the responses and learned some great information. Thanks for posting the question. Patsy and others, great responses.

I've been wondering about it because a lot of people say they are meaningless but some search engines still look for the keywords so I added them to all my pages and posts. Now I'll see what happens. Take care and best wishes!
I too have heard both side of this... yes you need them, no they're not needed, so I'm unsure. I do add tags to my posts though. Can't hurt, right?
I've heard from a lot of people that it still helps in the indexing so I'm going to fill them out and see what happens. Thank you for your feedback and best wishes.
Mark, Google indexes tags, comments, categories, images, descriptions EVERYTHING on your website. Someone can Google one of your tags and it goes right to your site!
On my indexed list when I check, I see tags, comments etc...on the list. The bot crawls your whole site not parts of it searching for keywords alone.
I did a blog post on it before.
So easy.
While in Incognito mode of course, Google this:
site:_______________.com
Fill the blank with your domain name, not using https:// just leave it plain and with no spaces.
Google then pulls up ALL of what got indexed including keywords, categories, comments, images, descriptions, tags etc..
You will see these within the list that comes up like if it was a tag that got that page or post ranked.
I have been checking this since March when I first started. These things aren't in the lessons it's just what we come across along the way.
Let me know if you need further help with this :)
I dont have the 3 dots at the top right on my google page anymore. How do I find incognito.
Is it the same as In Private Browsing?
What? while sitting on your computer right now. When you look up to the corner of it on the page (if that's what it's called) beside the long search bar, the 3 dots aren't there?
Did you use Incognito there before?
It sounds like it's the same as Private Browsing.
The three dots I have now, when I click them shows all kinds of stuff,
Print
New In Private Window
Zoom,
but no incognito. I've seen it before though. Maybe at work?
Arg!!!
I know, I'll Google it!
It's the Private Window one.
click on it and it opens up. Use it like you would regularly.
So in this case you want to see ALL everything Google indexed so you would Google site:____________.com put your site in the blanks, no https://
You will see a list come up. Take a close look some may be from a tag, or comment, a page or post etc...
I used to only look when I added a new post but since finding out they index everything, I check often, I see my pictures etc...
Let me know how you make out :)
Always add tags, Google indexes them they are important.
I have so many tags indexed, I think they all got indexed :)
Google indexes content, comments, categories, images, tags. Everything.
You are welcome. Anyone can Google one of your tags and end up on your website so easy! Same with the others. I see the word 'comments' , Categories, tags, images on my indexed list.
I'm really trying to concentrate on SEO right now and keywords so I really appreciate the feedback! Thank you so much!
You are welcome :)
Do you know how to pull up ALL that got indexed on your site? This is where I see the details of the tags, comments etc where the keywords got ranked :) :)
If not let me know and I'll show you. Takes 2 secs :)
I just left it with Mark here he asked for it also...I don't want to copy and paste it we aren't allowed.
Find it in the comments it's a long one and let me know when you have seen it and if you need more help. I have been using this from the start. It isn't in the lessons but I found it along the way.
You will love it!!!
I always use tags as well as keywords because they are there and I can. I know some do not.
It's not mandatory, I've heard arguments for both sides. It's just another method of getting ranked, so I decided to add tags to all my posts, incorporating keywords. It only takes an extra minute, so now, even before I start writing, I just add the tags.

I'd like to steam news on scams...Is there a way to do this?
Use Google Alerts.
https://www.google.com/alerts
You can set-up any search phrases you want to be alerted about and the criteria and have them stream directly to your inbox (or RSS feed).
So this is absolutely a viability.
