How often is everyone posting a new post? I have 11 post on my site right now. My question is, if we add information and add some content to a current post, will that suffice in
I have Go from onse a week up to 4 but i Also have to make 20 post This month but my traffic has going Down to The half of What it has been next Mont my plan is to speed it up to five Or more a week. But still cant figure out if It's a Good idea
I enjoy this discussion. I am not very far a long in my courses and I was curious about this very thing. Thanks for asking it :)
Your welcome. Many times when we have a question we find out that we are not the only one that is thinking the same thing. Glad it helped you.
you could always just write a whole bunch of posts and have hem scheduled to be published at certain times and on certain days, like lunch-time during normal working days, or on weekends or whenever. Makes it a lot better than just dumping a dozen posts in one hit, and looks like it is constantly maintained and updated
It;s OK to tweak ... but better to add a link to an old article that brings readers to your latest post with your updates. New posts and new keywords are what it takes to get readers and ranking (R&R). Hope this helps. Merry Christmas and God Bless! ~Cathy
You can always update any of your post if you find out something that is relevant to the post. The more post you have on your site the better chance you get more people coming to it. I think one of my sites has atleast 50 post on it maybe less.
I think every time you add content, and "update" that pings out a new publishing notice. But I will defer to some others' comments with more knowledge on this?
Once a week will work, but keep in mind, every post you can rank is more traffic, so the more you add, the more you get. :)
Thanks. So we don't have to add a new post all the time? Just add more content to the existing post right?
As long as your keywords will multiply, and you can't add to much keywords to one post, so I advice you to write more posts
That's the key, every post has its own keywords, so with every new post you will attract more people who find a post in the searchengine.
Probability theory: When you have 11 post, you have about 33 chances, when you have 111 post you have 333 chances someone finds you:)

Is adding to our post good enough to keep our site updated?

Although, new posts is the way to go to keep your site current and active, I cannot possibly stress enough, the importance of going back and tweaking older content. I am actually going to be writing up an entire blog post about this when I have a moment. I have gone back and tweaked content, added to it, optimized it and even added internal links to articles and it has immensely helped bring some of that older content back to life. You will see that especially with your earliest content, there are a ton of things you want to fix or add to it. As we learn more here at WA and in general about Internet Marketing and website development, we realize that there are a lot of mistakes we made early on. I know this was the case for me and it helped me not only bring some of those older posts back to life, but has allowed me to better optimize the entire domain, as a whole. All the best!

You are so right. I tweaked my WA product review which I did last year because I did not like the way it looked and I also added some more links. Now that I know more about writing content now than I did when I first started, I wanted to make some improvements. Tweaking old posts is no substitute for writing new content, so I will continue to add fresh content.
Howie, I agree with you I have just gone back and made a correction to one of my first posts. another benefit of updated your older posts is that they can be resent to social media. Some of my earlier post I didn't have it set-up to automatically send my post to Facebook and Twitter. Any updates I make now even to older posts now get posted to social media feeds.
Howie, another reason to review your older posts is because of updates that can happen. For example, I found product links that were obsolete. The products were no longer offered by Best Buy
Absolutely and great point. I will also notice improvements in rankings after nearly every update that I do to older posts. A few meaningful changes, some anchor text variations, better keyword optimization, and the list goes on. Google sees this as fresh content added to the older content in many cases and rewards you for it.

I would like to put my post on my home page in a different order. Can we do that?
Go to appearances > menus> then on right hand side move posts to the order you want them to appear. From top to bottom, then click save menu. Hope that helps.

Is there anyway that we can rearrange the order of our post?
