Hi, Everyone...

We are about to enter the most exciting time of the year as affiliate or online marketers. This is the time when you can brush off whatever has happened to now (even if it has all been good) and over the next three months, kick it in leads, sales, and profits!

Doing some planning now will help you leverage the propensity for people to spend for themselves, their loved ones, for friends, acquantances, business partners, etc. The list goes on...Many people will be out there looking for something you have.

How should you go about getting ready? Let me go through what I am doing to get ready, and maybe some will fit to what you plan, and I would hope that with input from members here we can get even more ideas on how to proceed.

THINGS TO DO RIGHT NOW

No matter which niche or what means you use to garner sales, now is the time to do some research on what is selling and why. Look at what the problems are and what kinds of products or services you can promote to solve them.

Come up with a list of perhaps 10-15 best potential products to promote, and add up the pluses and minuses each has. Things like deliverability, cost versus benefit, commission offered, market potential, how to market, etc.

Look outside your normal research resources. Check Google trends, check out some keywords, use any Keyword Tools you may have to see if you can compete, look at what means might be best to promote (i.e. PPC, Video, Organic, Email, Content, etc.)...

WHAT MATERIALS WILL YOU NEED?

Once you have come up with your list of products or services you will focus on, then start to plan how you will market them. Stick with what you know best (i.e. email marketing campaigns, social marketing campaign, content marketing, video marketing, paid ads) and then start gathering materials...

This could be everything from samples to record an explainer video, or it might involve developing opt-in pages, sales pages banners, ads, with a matching retargeting paid or email marketing campaign...

What you need will be determined by what you will promote and what your plan of attack is for marketing the items. This is where it might be better to focus on just a few products with the most potential based on your research...

I say this because to do a good job you really need to drill down and have a detailed marketing plan. You know you have a good product that is in demand because of your research, with a decent commission, and a high chance of success...

But unless you plan you may not realize nearly as much as if you do plan. Perhaps you will need to build a sales funnel (these work very well), maybe you will need someone to create some copy for you or design a webpage, etc.

WHAT IS YOUR TIMELINE AND WHAT TASKS HAVE TO BE DONE WHEN?

Very important in the planning stage is to figure out what you need to do when. Not only that, you need to plan for materials, personnel, costs, and review for each step. Depending on what you will promote, you may want to partner with someone...

This can help you get things done, bounce ideas, problems, and status' off one another, and generally can result in more sales together than if each of you had tried on their own to attack the market.

Once you have planned everything, then it is time to get busy so you have things ready when it comes time to start your marketing campaign. Lots of tasks likely will have to be completed prior to this point, but you will have done these and already know your next steps.

DEPLOYING THE MARKETING PLAN

Depending on which means you have selected to proceed with the marketing of your products, you will have a particular set of tasks to complete. Make sure that no matter how you choose to market, you have testing in place.

That will help you see results and adjust your marketing campaign as you go along to maximize effectiveness (i.e. leads, sales and profits). You may be able to increase sales throughout the period, or avoid disappointment when something is not working.

DO NOT FALL IN LOVE WITH A PRODUCT OR A CAMPAIGN

No matter how much love you have put into your plan, product, ad, page, etc. remember that they are all just tools to achieve the end goal, whatever that may be. If they are not working, after sufficient time of testing, drop or change what you are doing.

This is where A/B testing comes into play. Change one thing at a time, see what affect that has on clicks, views, and conversions, and adjust. Know that no matter what you try likely it will NOT work forever...

ARE YOU EXCITED?

This is it, ladies and gentlemen! We are in the last 1/4 of the year, people are ready to pull out their credit cards, they do not mind shopping online, and they like to use mobile phones...

Keep all these factors in mind as you plan, and get started now. Proactive action is always better than reaction if at all possible, and preparation meeting opportunity is never more true than during the last 3 months of a calendar year...

That was interesting I like your advise and yes a lot of planning I want to know what marketing strategy will work for like JVzoo and clickbank I was doing social media i think email marketing is better yea you have to know what type of marketing is best I have also tried Bing ads and some Facebook ads, In all I think email marketing is the best build your list Thank you for your post

JVZoo will have a lot of vendors offering holiday sales prices and contests, etc. so is an excellent source for digital products...

Clickbank is another place to look, and I just signed up for another that has a few digital programs and software that may work too. It is called Avangate Affiliate Program...

Depending on what your strengths are, and what you have experience with, I would start there and then consider adding more marketing channels as practical...

One idea I heard recently that made a lot of sense to me. If you want to get the hang of writing good copy, look at some of the sales pages of the best-selling products on JVZoo.

Prior to doing that, have a look at some of the free training that is available on the internet you can find using Google search.Then start rewriting those best-selling sales pages using what you have learned...

That all can be a part of the planning process, actually! Best of luck and have fun!
