The Simplest Niche of All!
Now, every day on this platform, there are questions asked which center around which niche is best and its understandable, because we come here with a great idea, passion or hobby and then discover that there are a gazillion other 'great ideas' which are similar to or revolve around our own niche...
But, from my own observations, based over time and honed even further by a lovely two week break in both Wales and Bath, it seems that many are overlooking the
Simplest Niche Of All!
List Building...
Yeah, I know, we all have to build our list, because the money is in the list and it really is
You also have a ready customer gravatar, or put another way, ready made customer base to go for.
Let me explain further and this is mainly for the real shiny newbies who might be a bit daunted by where to go and what to do
You need a list. That list is housed on a database, called an auto responder
The Auto responder is in its own right a business all on its own, but a very effective and stupidly simple one to run
Why?... Because, when the right one is chosen and that is the subject of a different blog post altogether, but preferably one which caters to affiliate marketing, you will
Halve your marketing time
Earn twice as much and
Get More Referrals all of who you can then send your offer to
As an example of this, and to show how easily this can be done.
While we were away, I decided to choose a specific autoresponder and tie it in with the marketing system, I have used for many years, because all the traffic sources have been tracked and tested to work, they produce optins
Equally they produce good commissions on a daily weekly and monthly basis
They also produce referral credits and commissions
So all good there...
Now moving that one one stage further, I was then pitched by seveeral people, who know what I do and this is what I have done and what you can do as well
I simply ask them how their business is going?
Are they getting plenty of leads and earning cash
Invarioubly the answer is business is okay, but I am struggling a bit to earn cash
So we then chat further and in almost every case in point, very few people are actually targeting or looking at their own niche and chatting to other business owners
Those that have followed the 'idea' of what is mentioned above, have experienced more success than they have ever known
Now the ideas, they have, can get shared on your blog, which in turn leads to referrals
But, the way that seems to work the best, or at least it is for me and has done for some time is just simply building my own list
As proof, I am getting good number of sign ups on to my list, that list is paying me both through the autoresponder and from the traffic sources offered to prospects
With each message that goes out, my about me blog page is attached and absolutely everyone is happy
Financial freedom is the buzzword these days, people want to get out of a job and using the
Simplest Niche Of All
This is entirely possible, when everything is applied because
Applied Education is The Difference
Why not try this yourself

can't see paying out the more money until I have enough traffic of my own. I will keep his idea for later when I site was grown.
Sandra, I see your point, and if this helps, I started list building, long before I started blogging, its the reason I was able to quit my job 9 years ago
Your blog is an outlet for that list where you can provide list building tips in your niche to share with others, so it helps them, or at least thats what I have found
List building is indeed a great sub niche of the Affiliate marketing market, there are many other specialist and pretty good ones like SEO, Traffic generation, social media management.
The simplest niche of them all - in terms of simiplicity I can't see past lifestyle blogging!
I mean, create a blog about you, your opinion based around 2-4 of the following topics such as parenting, travel. food, beauty, fitness, sports, and so on.
Done well it can lead to brand partnerships...I mean holly f*ck I was at a meeting with some Malaysian lifestyle bloggers (mostly based around fashion, beauty and travel) the amount made for brand partnerships has made think about it.
(talking $60,000 and up for mentioning a brand a certain amount of times during a 5min period!)
Not to mention their affiliate sales and display ads...
All for ehhh blogging about their lifestyle and opinions on certain fashion and beauty items!.
Go figure!
Derek, thanks for commenting, in my eyes as I said to Sandra, its simple, build al ist and then share those ideas with your blog readers, using your blog as an outlet for getting more people on the list, then it moves into lifetsyle blogging
Sure,
List building, a niche that all need and interested in, including in that SEO, email marketing all kinda niches of AM and IM that service blogs of all genres and niches.
I can't see a lifestyle blogger being in the list building niche, teaching how to build a list and then switching their blog to ehh.. lifestyle blogging..kinda a big miss match - two completely different things.
I do agree fully that list building for all is VIP for all niches though. In my opinion, the most important aspect of traffic generation as it is owining your own traffic.
What you are talking about in your original post and your reply is the importance of list building and NOT the actual niche of list building, which is a sub niche of the internet marketing and traffic generation niche.
(this is as I understand your post and reply)
As a niche, yep list building is pretty awesome and has huge potential. Products - the obvious Autoresponders and email marketing training programs. Topics covered - setting up AR's building list for XYZ niche, traffic generation, building capture pages (possible product there too in page builders).
Yep to agree with what you say that list building is important, because by doing this it gives you a list of client that you share offers with, your blog with and quite obviously, no list means income
In terms of owning your own traffic, by that I take it you mean the visitors to your blog, because the actual traffic you can't own, but subscribers yes, they are yours
I know from my own list experiences that I send offers out, with a blog attached highlighting something important and ideally that gets shared, thus creating leverage too
By owning your own traffic I mean, you can own the traffic by sending your subscribers to your blog. Thus the source of traffic is you (thanks to the subscriber list).
Hi Dave, I agree with you about growing an email list, but unless you have enough money to pay for ads or Joint Venture with someone who already has a sizeable list, you will need an audience through SEO. That’s what WA teaches.
Shelling out 40 something dollars per month to pay for email marketing before you have an audience will only frustrate you.
I have worked with Clients who have thousands of email subscribers and they don’t always make money with each product they promote.
You will still need a decent website with lots of content to hold people’s attention once they sign up for your list.
Just my thoughts.
Rey
You can start a list for free though! Some, like MailChimp (which I use) offer free lists and email sending up to a certain number of subscribers, after you hit your threshold you start to pay.
If you have a thousand subscribers and can't make $40 per month from email marketing, something is not quite right and the list owner may need some assistance.
On re-reading, you mentioned they may not make money from every product. Very true - but they must be covering the cost of the auto-responder, right?
Yes, they do. I also use mailchimp. I’m not against list building. I’m just saying that you need to have content to offer once you have a list or they lose interest.
ah, true. I see what you're saying.
My list rose 20% recently, but since then I've had more unsubscribes than new subscribers per campaign for almost a month. Still ahead by about 15% since that spike, but it really makes me think about the quality of my e-News.
Rey, I get what your saying, but it was the way I started, I didn't know any different and paying out for a list and autoresponder seemed like a good investment at the time
When it pays me now, even years on, I still get a tingle of excitement, because I have forgotten all about it
Hello, my good friend and it is so good to hear that you got to take a well-deserved break. Thanks so much for this insight that is so powerful will have to read this post again to digest it. All the best to you and have a good day.
Yeah Dave, I do need to get a list growing.
I am here for six months and Iam sort of ready?
But, I don't quite know which one of the Autoresplonders to use.
And you're right. Building a list is the si.plest niche of all
Maxine there are many autoresponders out there, to use, I happen to use Mailchimp and another one, Mailchimp has certain features and benefits I need, while the other pays me cash and has different benefits again, ultimately both pay me to my bank account

Thanks Dave for your article. Very informative and you are right, "The money is in the list." Your list is a great asset to have. You can also, when you have enough, sell clicks from your list. There are several ways to earn money from your list. I have been trying to get in affiliate marketing for about 5 years and used a few autoresponders and I have bought clicks from Solo Ads companies.
But being on military disability I have had to quit because I run out of funds. But with WA it's very affordable and you get exceptional training and a lot of it.
This time it will be a lot different because my mindset is right and my success is around the corner.
Thanks and very informative.
Danny
Absolutely Danny, thanks for contributing
Thank you Dave. Appreciate the article.
