Don't know how to explain this... For well over a week now I have tried to change colour of Header Font (my website title and tagline underneath), Read more buttons, Search box

There are some good answer in this thread. i agree with a lot of them, I'm not familiar with the sparkle theme personally, but all WP themes have a customiser, accessed through the appearance tab in the dashboard, its in there that you can usually change the colour for the header and footer.

I wouldn't get too hung up on it though ,I'd focus on content and in downtime, as I do, tweak the site as you want it too.

Hope this helps.

Focus on content. It’s very easy to get lost in the aesthetics of a site, but focusing on content is what gets you revenue. If the theme you have doesn’t suit you, don’t hesitate to choose another one. Or if you have the CSS coding knowledge to do so, you can change it.

Yeah, I tried everything to change the colour and it wont do it! I am not overly happy with the theme so I will just change it, but make sure I back my site up in case. Hopefully it will be easy enough to change themes. There is plenty of training on it so will have a go!

Some themes will have an option within the customizer to change colors, but with others you have to enter CSS code. Changing themes is a cinch. Just go to Appearance>Themes>Add New. When you download one you like, before activating it you can do a live preview and tweak what you need to tweak to make it look right :)

Thanks Eric. Only just saw this, but as always super helpful! In the end I chose 1 of the 4 sparkle themes that were already installed and yeah it was a cinch. I think this theme is way better now. I am still learning all this online wordpress stuff. Will get there eventually!

You’re doing great! Keep it up!

if you don't like the color of your theme, then you will probably best be suited by choosing another theme.
That said, you can create a child theme and then edit the CSS file to change the colors of the specific items.
the reason I say to create a child theme is that if the theme updates it will undo all of your changes unless you do this step first.

You can search for child theme in the bar at the top of the page to find out how to create a child theme.
once you have a child theme created you will need to learn how to edit your CSS file. You can do this at W3 schools where there is a full set of tutorials on CSS.

Thanks Craig.

This is a good answer in respect of Child Themes, just to add make sure the theme itself is not bloated with additional plugins which affect load speed.

Since I am a newbie and still working through the training (I am on lesson 9 of the WA Bootcamp), I can't help but wonder how I can write a review on it that captivates the aud

Your review is going to be all about how much the training can help your target audience, not on how much income you've made. It's no different than if you were a photography enthusiast and you recommended a camera to a friend. They wouldn't say "well you're not a professional photographer so why would I listen to you", right? It's all about showing your audience who's looking for a platform like this just how thorough the training is and how helpful and thriving the community is :)

Hey Darren,

If you write as excited as the training and all that is included here for the money makes you feel, you will do just fine. Once you have "proof" of income, believe me, you will NOT want to flaunt it in your reader's faces.

Enthusiasm for your topic is the best selling tool anyone can use.

Hope this helps you.

Thanks Trish:-)

You are VERY observant and "on your toes" so I KNOW you will do great! You're very welcome Darren... and, Thank YOU!
