Progress Report - 2 months After Joining WA
Last Update: Jul 8, 2018
Tonight, after 2 months since join WA, I find myself on the final tasks of Phase 2 Training of The Online Entrepreneurship Course. Time to take stock on what I have achieved and set some goals for the next few months.
What I have Learned so Far
I never had any background in online marketing at all, so for me it was always going to be a case of learning as much as I could, going at my pace to fit around a new career that I have not long started and see how things go.
I have to say it has gone quick since I have started and at first I began the Bootcamp training and was on Phase 2 before deciding to go back to the Online Entrepreneurship Course! I ended up purchasing a domain name and adding about 5 pages, but that site is on the back burner for now!
It just felt more natural to come up with a niche and work on that niche idea, hopefully make some money eventually, and then be able to promote Wealthy Affiliate later on. I came up with my niche pretty quickly and I have been following the training as best as possible.
I struggled to understand how it all fits together at times and picking the right theme was also a massive challenge. I am still not sure if I have picked the right website theme, but I guess I can always change it later.
I have also realised not to stress too much about things I have yet to learn as it seems that topics are introduced as we go along, so I guess that is no big deal. I have the kind of personality where if something does not make complete sense to me, I panic and it makes me feel a bit depressed. I am beginning to learn just to get on with it and do it, as I can improve everything in time.
Plans for the next 2-3 months
I will be continuing with my niche website which is selling football team shirts, both classic shirts from years gone by and new shirts as well. I already know there are affiliate programs that support this, as I researched it in earlier training modules.
I think that Phase 3 will show me how to join affiliate programs and I can start to add affiliate links to my website which I am really looking forward to.
In all honesty I do not know what to expect in the next 2-3 months. Although I would love to start earning affiliate commissions, I am equally if not more interested in understanding what I am learning and being able to do it better, because ultimately, I see the Wealthy Affiliate Training Program as an investment in learning that will pay me down the line.
Here's to the future!

You are making good progress, Darren, and you are certainly right on target. It's quite normal to find some bits unclear at times and it's best to either ask the community for help or to continue with the training as all the individual bits and pieces will finally all fit together and provide the whole picture. Also, you've picked a great niche and if you concentrate on this, you will be rewarded for your efforts in due time.
Just keep on pressing and enjoy level 3.
Thanks Sammy for your kind words or encouragement:-) I love this community.
