I was wondering if anyone has experience using it. I tried reading up on it but is a bit confusing. Is it worth bothering with?

Hi Darlene - I read a bit too - looks like photoshop etc is included, but I'm not a graphics person - so maybe I'll be fine with Paint/Gimp etc (on Windows).

To be honest - I'm not going to look much further - we have websites here, training here, access to training and blogs about pictures etc from various members (Beverley etc), so giving me access to more tools to distract me from what I really need to do (content), isn't in my plan!!

Cheers, Mark

I looked at it and saw all the html and stuff, initially saying nah. Maybe they nixed all that after the end of last year promotion. Thank you Darlene, will put it on TDL to revisit and get back. ^_~

Thank you DoubleTap, for sharing this experience.

Howdy there Darlene. I don't use it... yet. But just now reading up on it, I do like some of the available features. When I go back into my first affiliate site, I may study up on this and incorporate it into that project. It doesn't look like it would be too difficult to use... just a little trial and error routine adding the script into my footer area. I may just have to give this one a try if and when I get a little break in the action. Haven't talked to ya' for a long time, hopin' all is well for ya', Darlene!!!

Amazon publisher studio? anyone use it?

I know it is theme dependent but I want to know if there was a way to move the main menu below the header image. I use Atheros as a theme. I would even be happy if I could chang

I f anyone knows how to keep the sub-menus fron disappearing when anyone scrolls on them (Sporty theme)...let me know. Thanks.

Many of the themes let you choose if you want to use the one above or below the header I think they call it first and second menu options.

I checked atheros, looks like that's how the menus are situated. You can change the background color, though. All you need to do is go to Appearance, customize, then click color. You can choose whatever color you want from the color scheme. I hope this is what you meant. Yeah, it's a good-looking theme except for the menus. They seem to be misplaced on top of the header image. I hope somebody could let you know if it is possible to move them below. Wish you all the best!

Hey Darlene, as you said, it depends if your theme supports this. If you look in Appearance > Menus and switch to the Manage Locations tab you'll see if this is possible without coding. It's likely that changing the colour will involve writing some CSS unless the developer has provided options within Appearance > Themes. :) Rich. x

Right. I don't wanna mess with the coding cause I don't know what I'm doing. I tryed menu locations but that was just for header/footer menu. It's just it's grey and right against the browser toolbar. I did put my main menu in the side bar.

It's one of the reasons I often recommend themes such as PageLines http://wordpress.org/themes/pagelines as they've got the majority of options as menu items, so avoiding the need to code. I'm sorry not to have been more help. :( R. x

I like pagelines. but there is a rolling graphic on the blogroll page I don't know how to get rid of.

Meh you can't know EVERYTHING now can you. lol

HAHAHA. ROFLMAO. :) R. x

As I look around on the web researching, thinking about doing this before I started WA myself to find income, and know there are 1,000's or more doing the same, I was getting fl

I am not a fan of pop ups either and will click away as quickly as possible. I've done reviews on a few of these and have shown similar screen shots of how annoying, and numerous, these pop ups are. WA is the place to be.

well the one I saw scared me. it literally took the whole screen. reminded me of that FBI one that locks the computer

Please dont take my comment the wrong way. Everything I say is ment to help others

I know. I was just explain why I posted :) all good. I have tougher skin than that :P

There are other legit sites out there but they are very difficult to find and none are as incredible as WA. Once you are here you shouldnt be looking at other sites anyways. All you are doing is wasting productive time.

Im not trying to be mean cause believe me I have lost a lot of money over the years until I found WA. Since that time I have only made money. All Im saying is quit chasing the dream when reality is staring you right in the face. You could never go wrong with WA

Same here. the problem is for 1 legit site there are 1000's of rippoffs

I wasn't trying to waste time. I also have other avenues I am looking for. I just thought I would share this

He clearly stated he was doing research for reviews. That isn't wasting time

It's a real pity to see and hear of so many scams on the net, I sometimes wonder if it will be the downfall of the net, who will buy when you don't trust anymore.

So has anyone found a legit work at home website? I just found Wealthy Affiliate by luck and will explore after I get out of school

No. Besides Wealthy affiliate (which isn't a work at home job) I only find scams or survey sites that you can never qualify for :/

Absolute thieves! It works that way in the "mail letters for $10.00 each" too! Sure wish the FTC would cracks down on some of the ones that actually steal from hopeless moms with children and the most desperate people looking to make an honest buck!

yeah and with those you are just helping them scam others. *sigh*

Some scams are just so blatant, I don't how they think they will get away with it. Some people, unfortunately will fall for these things out of sheer desperation. We need to save people from themselves.

Picking on my cousin, too! J

Those dirty, rotten, filthy, crooked, scamming rogue rascals! J

I know. I saw some doesies but this one took the cake

It's sad to think of the many unemployed people who are becoming desperate for money for basic needs that they easily fall victim to these quick money schemes. I can understand needing quick money. I think many of us have been there at one time or another. I know what it's like to try to pay bills and run out of money before I'm through. It's a hard pill to swallow. That's why I'm thankful for WA. It's preparing me to make my own way when times get tough again....and those times are coming sooner than later. Many of my friends here are without other sources of income right now, and I want you all to know that I'm praying your business starts bringing you a stead income VERY soon. I'm lucky to have a retirement check coming every month, My online marketing will supplement that, so I have a little more time before I really NEED the extra income.

May God bless us all in our endeavors to survive in this world economy.

Pat

Exactly. Things are a bit tight for me atm but I know all this will pay off for me. Is it sad to thing about people being scammed. I been scammed myself but these empty promises. I am glad to see more and more sites out there warning people about such scams.

By the way....That retirement check I get every month is NOT an entitlement from a benevolent government. It's my retirement annuity that my employer and I paid into for thirty years. The government isn't giving me anything to speak of. After my Medicare premium is taken out of my social security check (which by the way is funded from money my employers and I put into it and not one red cent from the feds.) my net check amount is $44 a month. Whoopee! Thank goodness I have my teacher's annuity to draw on for the rest of my life.

I'm really tired of the government calling the Social Security annuity plan an entitlement. The elderly and their employers have paid into it for many working years...and it has been drawing interest. Of course they are entitled to it in their later years when they are unable to work! The government raided those funds years ago for the general budget, but they've never put them back. And now they think seniors are greedy from wanting what they are honestly entitled to draw out. It's like the Feds just stole that money.

Sorry I got on my soapbox. I'm just tired of our POTUS trying to fix the economy on the backs of senior citizens....taking away their much needed help.

Pat

My dad feels the same way. They are threatening to take away he VET benefits because of all this.

ok so I just started building my basic framework for my page and wanted to through at you what a have so far.

Web page title:

Keeping your dog healthy and happy

<

I think another category important to do owners is food and treats...you could add that to your list. Your website and the categories you have on it will continue to evolve, but I think you are off to a great start.

i was going to include that in the basic care. or should i separate it?

No, that would actually be OK within there. If you see a need to separate down the road because the category is growing too much, you could always break it out. But it is completely fine in that category for now.

I just wanted to share a thought. I have a hard time explaining to people about me and how it is to be me (e.i. living with an invisable disability and living with ADHD.) Could

It would certainly work and it's a very specific niche which I'm sure your target market will be interested in. As you say it's an invisible disability and one that not a lot of adults will talk about.

One of the things you may want to think about is how you are going to make money from your site.

right. It would be good for information but trying to thing of how to make it profitable.

Have you looked at this training. This may give you some ideas about how you may be able to make money from your site. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/6-ways-to-make-money-with-your-wordpress-blog
