Not sure if you can make heads or tails of this but this is what mine look like . Im at my witts end.

You have the back slash / in front of everything and this has to go

Paul

Well I just tried that and it is automatically putting the backslash in after I even take it out. This is what I get

/fall-season-safety-tips-keep-everyone-safe-and-cozy

OK this is what you do but this in

fall-season-safety-tips-keep-everyone-safe-and-cozy

just copy and past it in and tell me what happens

Paul

/fall-season-safety-tips-keep-everyone-safe-and-cozy this is what shows up under path when I paste in exactly what you said. It goes in without the slash but ends up under path with the slash

please show me screen shot

hope this worked

OK my friend your website is
https://diabeteswithdale.com

BUT

You are using http://diabeteswithdale.com

to try and fetch!!!!!

so have you actually got an account for the https version?

[paul

Im so confused right now. I am so sorry to bug you over this but I need to get it figured out. So not sure what you mean when you ask about http versus https. grrrr

http is a property and https is another property that you own OK

you have registered with webmaster tools http BUT have you registered https with webmaster tools?

I have two see below

did you or not?

i think we are getting somewhere now

Yes I see you are not registered with the https

so now go to webmaster tools and fine the add property and follow the steps OK

BUT you will have to also add all your pages from your http site as well

I know a real painh=n but worth it in the end

Also remember to add as desktop and smart phone

also do the same with bing/yahoo and yonder if you use

OK

let me know hoe you get on

I think its working

Well done and now do every one!!!!

paul

Thank you Dale for asking that question. I did not know the reason for 'redirected'. But, now I do thanks to you, and Karl for his solution to the problem.

You are welcome. The problem is I am stubborn and kept thinking it will work. Now I have so many to redo once I know it is working. Not sure how long it takes but cant wait to see that green complet button and not the yellow redirect one.

It will be a good feeling Dale when all buttons are green.

When you entered your pages in fetch, did you end the URL with a backslash? Or did you enter it with "www"?

I was entering the www but realized that was wrong so re did all of them

Did you enter the page url with a backslash at the end?

This is how it shows up under path

/fall-season-safety-tips-keep-everyone-safe-and-cozy

You need to add the backslash at the end.

/fall-season-safety-tips-keep-everyone-safe-and-cozy/

So it needs to look like this then???

Correct

That is the most common reason for the redirect. Did you have the yellow caution sign showing?

Thank you so much

No problem.

How long before I know if its working because I dont want to go redo all of them just to find out im still doing something wrong

I'm not sure. Mine took a day or more. I had some blocked resources I had to fetch as Google about two months ago. If you Google 'fetch as Google redirect' you will get confirmation that what I'm telling you is correct. It's a common error actually.

The redirect is just the address without the backslash redirecting to the one with the backslash where that particular page is located. It should have little impact on your traffic if any at all.

When you go to your site via incognito tab, where does it take you? Wondering if you got some Malware virus? Is it a fairly new site?

I have 3 sites and they are between 3 and 4 months old
