"I Have Had It!"
Today, I Googled something. Google returned atrocious results (9 pages from the same site on page 1; good site, it turns out, but I'm looking at what my alternatives are, I haven't decided that site is where it's at!). So I Googled Bing, then Binged my keyword. Bing returned 9 sites on the 1st page (2 pages from the same site Google gave me 9, in the 1st and 3rd positions)
I was happy with Binging but not with Googling. The 3rd time this week. So, I'm officially doing my searches (personal, not for business) on Bing
Now, I need to go make sure I can rank on Bing, cause it seems it's going to be mighty useful pretty soon.
Anyhoo, how many of you have made the switch? Are using Bing or other some of the time?

I must be a lot younger than you think, dogpile rings no bells. But, I'm all for revolt against Google. At least in my case, it should let me do things like it's 1999. After all, ain't I tall, dark and handsome?
Hey Dusan, I'm guilty of total loyalty to Google. I'm just a creature of habit. Now, want to give Bing a fair shot. Good idea to mix it up.
I guess you don't know my agreement with Google. Over the years, I've been promised great results, no matter what the search terms. And got just that. Now, I don't know what to expect. I am emotionally devastated! I've put a lot of work into the relationship. I deserve better, mon!
Google, she's pretty fysty sometimes, can be promiscuous to any of her relationships except those that are on her level.
She will always keep us guessing...

I don't SEO at all these days, turned my back on Google a few months ago. Instead, I do banner buys, PPC and press releases. Paying for traffic will never die and will be a lot more consistent. It also means I can make my websites however I want, and not to how some dick wad at google wants it to pass their stupid quality score.
I take it you're not running adword, cause if you were you would still have to worry about their quality score....
No, the only time I use adswords is if they have sent through a load of vouchers. However, you can get around the problem of traffic to squeeze pages somewhat. What I do is send the traffic to a really good article on my site, and then at the bottom is a link which goes to the squeeze page. Like I say though, I prefer banner buys.
Do you usually buy direct or go through a network?
I contact the site owners direct, however, at some point in the future will look to use the bigger ad networks (not Google of course). Haha, yeah, I used to use dogpile lol My fave back then was altavista!
Sounds like you're quite happy with your non-google solution.
Would love to see a training on this! I think we are all getting frustrated with Google and are looking for other ways to drive traffic to our sites. Something to think about... training... :)
Hey Veronica - sure, I will do this soon, I've been meaning to do it for a while. Nag me if I forget ;-)
