For The Birds
Animals are smarter than we think!
Songbirds and whales make sounds approximating our music.
Chimps and crows have learned how to use tools.
Only one animal possesses both of these skills, according to Science Advances: Palm cockatoos from Northern Australia.
These amazing birds whittle down sticks with their beaks, and use them to drum steady beats on their perches, in order to impress their cockatoo pals and female cockatoos.
Robert Heinsohn, Professor of evolutionary and conservation biology at Australian National University, calls the birds "the closest we have so far to musical instrument use and rhythm in humans."
The male cockatoo breaks a strong stick off a tree with his beak, and trims it to the size of a pencil. He then taps a beat on his tree branch, simultaneously whistling and making other sounds from a 20 syllable repertoire.
Cockatoos exist in Papua, New Guinea, and other areas, but only the birds in Cape York Peninsula, Australia, have demonstrated these skills.
Look out, Ringo Starr!
So many animals have been discovered with amazing skills and abilities...just imagine what our capabilities are, as God's greatest creatures!
Reach beyond!

I posted about weeks ago on the amazing intelligence and camaraderie of a number of animal species across fish, birds and all classes of mammals Rick. It's truly amazing!
Right now my cat opened my bag (it closes with a zipper ) and took out the chicken bones I brought for him.Of course he got a sold portion of them....and a few spanks and a few laughs of mine, too.Sometimes we play hide and seek. I often give up and use a proven weapon- start opening a box of cottage cheese. He rushes to the smell of it from whatever hiding place he was...lol
and your olives, and your omelette, and your chicken, and your cheese....and his cat food on top of it!:))))
Hey, Cosmic...I really enjoyed this article. One of my friends once said I was a walking musical. I enjoy music of just about all kinds. I also believe in mermaids and unicorns. So I can relate to the musical abilities of all Creatures great and small. SDG.
That is beautiful and I believe human have a lot of capabilities that they're not aware of yet I love the birds they are beautiful

Yesterday I did a post about marketing ads which didn't work in other cultures, due to the meaning of the chosen words (https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/ericpierre/blog/jokes-about-marketing). Now you came up with one too.
If in Swiss-German you say "For the birds" it means: what you just did is useless. Total waste of time.
Same here, Eric, but in this case, multiple meanings. :)
