Happy June, everyone!

This month I decided to do something a little different.

Instead of setting hard goals, I wanted to go with the flow a little more and just see what kind of difference it made, if any.

What this means is that I made it more important to work on my mindset than to hit goals.

(Nothing wrong with goals. I just wanted to try something else.)

What I did was go out for walks / jogs every day outside (usually twice a day) and listen to things that would put my mind in a positive state.

The more I listened, the easier it was!

I also meditated just about every morning and came up with a list of things to be grateful for daily.

I also decided not to worry about referrals or sales or any of that. They'll come when it's time for them to come. (I do still worry sometimes, but I try not to stay worried for long.)

You might be thinking that doing all of this, spending so much time working on my mind instead of working probably set me back.

Bu oh no.

It did not.

In fact, what happens when you get in this state is that everything in your life is so much easier to do. It just flows perfectly. The ideas for the things you need to do are the things that are most productive.

It's hard to explain unless you've experienced it, but being in a positive mindset makes things flow so easily, and you can "hear" ideas that will move you in the right direction.

Things I accomplished this month:

- Changed my website theme
- Solved an issue I was having with rich snippets (see that post here.)
- Started a YouTube channel (and learned how to do tons of new things involved with that)
- Got my email process situated and exactly how I wanted that to look (plus simplified it which is great because it was overwhelming me!)
- Started adding email captures to my posts
- Created new pop-ups
- Created an email capture in my widget area
- Redesigned my homepage
- Started a new focus for my site which I'm incorporating into everything
- Redid my menu on my site to make it more focused
- Redid my menu on my site AGAIN - lol
- Created a new banner for my WA review page
- Updated my WA review
- Published 17 posts

I would have liked to have done a few more posts, but:

1. We had carpet installed, and I spent a good 4-5 days focused only on painting the entire upstairs of my house. Whew! That was a lot of work!! I didn't write any posts during this time, so I'm happy with what I got done.

2. The most recent posts I've been writing have been over 2k words! It's not even on purpose, it's just kind of flowing out better.

Another cool thing that happened this month is that I was contacted by 2 people to do reviews of their books. I enjoy books, so this is great!

Traffic & Status Updates

April's Search Console stats:

And here's May's stats:

Past 6 months:

It's a little frustrating that my stats are not as good as last month. But, I know they'll come back. Alex & Lauren from Create & Go say that there are a few different phases to building a blog. The second phase is the Teenager phase. Very up and down. It's clear that that's where I am now.

Traffic in April:

Traffic in May:

Daily, Weekly, Monthly Traffic:

Even though it says my daily traffic is 44, in the past week or so (except for the last couple of days), I've been getting somewhere between 80-100 people per day.

Referrals

January = 10, 0 Premium
February = 11, 0 Premium
March = 25, 0 Premium
April = 30, 2 Premiums

This month:

Even though I had fewer referrals, I had more clicks and sales this month. Part of the reason I think my referrals went down a bit is because Kyle told me to make sure to link all (or most) of my reviews to my WA review instead of bringing them directly to WA.

That gives people a better chance to see what WA is all about and hopefully that will bring people in who are more likely to see the value of this platform.

Like a teenager, I'm happy and bummed at the same time. haha. :) I'm VERY happy with what I accomplished in May, but I'm bummed because I thought I would be a bit further along.

But it's OK. Things will get better and better as the rest of the year goes by, I'm sure of that.

I'm going to continue to work the same way in June, going with the flow and keeping a positive mindset as my #1 priority and not focusing on hard goals.

What I've learned but am now truly understanding is that order is important (versus chaos). If you look outside at nature, everything happens in a perfect, orderly way.

The mind is the same way.

If you have all these thoughts in your head "I have to do this. No wait. I need to do this first. No wait. What was I doing, again??" That's not orderly, and you will just spin yourself in circles.

The other trap we can get into is the trap of being desperate. "I need money. I need it now. Where is it? It's not coming. But I need it." This also causes choas in the mind and makes your work so much more unproductive.

If you can get order to your mind, things will flow easier.

Try it and see. Just like anything else in life, it takes some work. Keeping your mind focused on only things you want is actually really hard. But if you can do it, your entire world will be so, so much easier.

Until next month...

I am in total awe!! You are doing an amazing job! Thank you for the inspiration! Vegas !!!

Thank you!

- Christina

Congratulations Christina, for someone who was so busy with family things you accomplished quite a bit with your work. It is amazing how much better you can write when your mind is at peace.
Ray

The writing just flows when my mind is stable. It definitely makes it way easier.

To be fair, I do have a family and am busy with them, but my kids are older (12 and 14) and are pretty self-sufficient. Although, they always want to be fed... annoying right? haha

- Christina

Lol - they tend to require more attention than little ones sometimes.

We could use another girl in Vegas! Bring it on!

There are lots of us females wanting to come and take over! lol

- Christina

Your doing well Christina. I enjoy seeing your progress, and keeps me on track for my own.
I’m in a similar position, but your stats are better than mine. I did too much many articles about WordPress, SEO to begin with, instead of product reviews.
Now done 154 posts in 10 months since I started this site. Probably 50-60 product reviews. Hoping traffic will boost around Black Friday time.
I can’t wait to prove all the disbelievers around me wrong 😁.
I also look forward to seeing your ‘I made it to Vegas’ post.👍

Well, 154 posts is nothing to sneeze at! Well done! Do they not bring you enough traffic? Or is it that because you don't have review posts, you don't get many referrals in?

it sounds like you're well on your way, and forget those disbelievers. I was reading an email from an internet marketer that I like. He said he's doing very well (made $750k last year) and his brother works for him and his mom still told them they would need to get "real" jobs someday. lol

People just don't understand this business. They're set in their old way of thinking.

- Christina

Traffic is around 10-20 most days. A few referrals that don’t fill in their info. Although one did fill out their info a couple of days ago.
I’m not too concerned about this because I know it will come. Just gotta keep plugging away.

Yes! For sure! I tell myself the same thing...just keep going.

Hey Christina.

Although we had this conversation 3 weeks ago, just thought I'd mention that since then, my traffic has gone to about 30-40 per day. Then yesterday, out of nowhere, 115 users, 113 unique. Today, 98 users with 87 unique, with 9 hours left in the day. This is mainly from one article which seems to be on page 1, hovering position 3-6 depending on country.

Nothing like a little motivation to keep going.

Nice!!! That's definitely motivating. Way to go!

- Christina

Amazing Christina, you are doing awesome you should be proud of your efforts thus far, and it is quite revelational when you break things down like this. :)

I look forward to seeing your progress as you move forward through the upcoming months!

PS. I love the look of those graphs!

Thanks, Kyle! I'm trying. The goal seems so far away, but I'm enjoying the journey anyway. :)

- Christina

Well done Christina, Congrats and keep it up!

Thanks so much!

- Christina

Well done Christina for another jam packed post.
You are so right about mindset. We have been doing a gratitude list, meditating and listening to Bob Proctor and Earl Nightingale daily for a month or so and it makes a huge difference.

Things do indeed flow easier. I think it is a confidence thing as much as anything.

Keep up the great work.

Jon and Debbie

Thank you Jon and & Debbie! It sounds like you're on a similar path.

When I say everything is easier and flows, I don't even just mean with my website. I mean everything! I hit all the green traffic lights, people are nicer, all the things that need to happen around the house (like laundry, etc.) happen in the perfect order that makes it go faster.

It's fun! :)

- Christina

P.S. How are you guys doing with your referrals? Getting closer?

- Christina

Even parking spaces become available when you need them. It is really weird, yes!

Dire if we are honest!! We have had 2 go premium this year so far despite having 52 referrals over the last 3 months.

I love it! :)

- Christina

Hm, it's so tricky. People are so fickle sometimes. I know I am! Those other referrals may just start coming out of the woodwork. You never know!

Keep at it! As time moves on, we'll get better and better at this. :)

- Christina

Good post. If you don't get your mindset in the right place, you will not be able to reach your goals. Important to change attitude first.

Attitude is everything! I absolutely believe that.

- Christina

Well done! Keep it up!

Wish you great success!

Bob

Thanks, Bob!
