When posting my URL in my Privacy Policy it doesn't stay as URL but opens immediately within a box with the Privacy Policy repeated. It is like picture within a picture using
Thanks for the response. I will keep trying things. I am a little confused why we put the URL for the privacy policy within the privacy policy itself. If someone is already in the privacy policy what is the purpose of adding a link to it. I am obviously missing something.
That would certainly be easier. I was following Marion's tutorial and everything went well until the URL pasting. The template itself does not have the URL listed at the bottom so I will go with the easier option and leave it off.
I added an extra http at beginning, copied and then deleletd extra, I had the same problem but, can’t explain why. But my idea worked.
I understand your frustration, had the same problem un google plus, this idea might not be what computer savvy people do, but it got the job done.
I did so many times I lost count. Every time as soon as I paste it the box opens up with my Privacy Policy inside. I can click in the box and it comes up with little edit/delete symbols so I can delete it but that removes the URL link. It never stays as the URL I paste.
Thank you for reply. In my case that didn't work but problem has been resolved. I don't need to use it where I thought i needed to add it.

I agree with Loes but why do you need a link in there. I just manually type it.

It seems I don't. I was following some training but the template itself doesn't have it. That may have been the problem. I did not put it there so problem solved.

I was also going to suggest change your menu to put it back where it belongs.

Thanks Elaine. There was something wrong with my Privacy Page. It was showing pink in my menu and wasn't showing up on my website. I delete my menu and added it again. It worked after that.

Thank you everyone. My website is back to its original state before I started messing around.
I tried all of that over and over and policy page still said invalid. Tried again this morning and nothing. So I scrapped the whole menu and tried adding back on. Now I have my policy as a page at top but I have lost my customized home page. Guess I will now go learn about custom links and try and get the home page back. Do overs are my life. When I get 1 problem fixed I end up with 2 more.
