I have recently had a problem with my A.I.O plug-in, so I'm looking for an alternative. What are you using and what are your results?

Hey Derek,

Well, the WA platform recommended SEO plugin is SEO Framework.

And apart from AIO SEO, a couple of very popular SEO plugins are RankMath (Jack Cao who's in all their YouTube tutorials is also a WA member) and Yoast.

You would say the above 4 are perhaps the "most popular", but there are certainly many, many, more SEO plugins.

As for "What Results", realistically SEO plugins do NOT provide results.

They are simply there to provide guidelines.

So, things like a good meta title and meta description WON'T make you rank any higher, it simply means that IF your articles are featured in the search results, the title and description MAY be more enticing for someone to click on.

Schema, a part of all SEO plugins, once more DOESN'T help your articles rank any higher, it simply makes how you appear in the search results more appealing.

Getting a score of 100/100 or getting ALL GREEN on an SEO plugin yet again does NOT guarantee or even enhance rankings, it simply satisfies what an SEO plugin (a piece of software) is telling you.

If you think about it, if SEO plugins actualy didn't anything in terms of actually ranking, surely ALL 100/100 or ALL GREEN scored articles would rank at the top of the search results!!

Bit difficult to do when there are a few hundred million people online using these SAME plugins and getting the SAME scores.

The best thing about SEO plugins is, sure they provide "guidelines", (personally, I don't think these guidelines are very good in terms of 2023 SEO), but they have a range of additional features you can use, e.g. 301 redirects, Twitter/X/Social Media Image cards, install codes for other products, such as Google Search Console/Google Analytics, easily create a sitemap, which can be done manually in about 10 seconds anyways, etc.

I actually wrote about this over 2 years ago, the same principles still hold true today. Partha

Thank you Abbie, a very thorough reply. I need to make a change to a reliable plug in and now you've given me lots to think about.

Thank you very much, I've used Yoast before and that was my 1st go to but I'll take a look at Framework too!

Derek, I'm NOT Abie!!!

But, she'll Love that!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Of course I do. Thanks! 😂🙏😍

I agree with, Abie. It’s more using the right keywords than any SEO plugin.

:)

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I fully agree with what you're all saying. My problem is my plug in, was stopping my pages from loading! It needed some intervention from site support.

And did this intervention work?

You can use the SEO framework instead. However, I really do not recommend you do it mid-way; there's a chance you may mess up your site.

Rank Math Pro... I am still learning it.

However, it isn't your SEO plugin, vs the choice of your keywords and content. And that folks are searching for their keywords.

Hi, in some of my posts All in one SEO tells me my keyword is to big. What is the best way to reduce its size?

Hey Derek,

I wrote this blog post over two years ago, still holds true today. Enjoy

Partha

Is it your keyword too big or your titles? I have a couple of titles that it tells me are too big. I mostly reduce the title, (though the introductory one on my website I lave left long,) I mostly just knock the rest of my keywords down to the opening paragraph. I believe it gets the same ranking. I also have keywords in appropriate places in the document but certainly try not to repeat the same ones too many times. There are a lot out there of course!

Thank you Peter, I'll try that too. I often choose smaller keywords but sometimes it's just the best option, for what I'm trying to say.

Howdy
You can focus on search intent, analyze competitors, seek relevance over length.

Thank you for your words of wisdom, I'll change my focus! Have a great successful day.

Hi guys, I'm thinking about trying PPC advertising? It's something I've never tried and I would like to know what would be the best way forward??

Thanks guys, I'm building 2 sites and thought I'd give it try. But I wanted to hear what experience and advice was available. A big thank you to you all.

I agree with RCanty it only pays if you have a high rate of visitors to your site.

Elke

PPC will only be beneficial if you have high traffic volume. For example, my sites are fairly new with a low number of visitors; therefore, PPC would not generate enough clicks for revenue.
