How do you unpublish a blog so it's not active? I need to revamp my blog and don't want it to show while I am. Can I pull it down temporarily?

Thank you, everyone, for your help! That is why I love being here. Help when I need it. Makes you feel less alone in doing this.

Best,
Tiger

Log into your site dashboard by going to Websites and clicking on Login for the site you want to log into. You might have to click on Login again next to the user you want to login as if you have multiple users defined for that site. Once there go to Posts or Pages depending on which you want to edit then click on the title of the page or post to edit it. In the Publish section change the status to something else like Pending Approval or Draft and then on Update yo save that status. It’s now unpublished.

Hi Gail,
I have never put the post on "private", not sure on how to do that. But this might seem a little cumbersome, but first cut and paste it to Site Content.

I do the editing and before I "re-publish" it, delete the post still in WordPress, then publish it from Site Content.

Then I go through the post for any final editing and touch up. This is probably a little on the laborious side but it has worked for me without losing anything.

I hope this helps.

Bill

You may lose your permalink and with it any SEO ranking by using this method. It's better to switch to Draft mode and make your edits within your WordPress dashboard.

Hi Marion,
Many thanks, you for an informative tip. I will look into the Draft mode.

Bill

Thank you, Marion. That is what I'm trying to avoid but if I have too. Wish Wordpress allowed for putting blog unpublished while you revise it. Oh well, just got to work around it. Best, Tiger

Draft mode means it's temprarily unpublished and no one can see it except you until you publish it again. Go to Posts > All Posts > Quick Edit and change the status to Draft then save the changes.

I've always read not to delete published blogs. I did that and got error messages.

Try going into your dashboard and go to that specific blog. Go to edit and make it private. You can edit it while it's in "private mode".

Hope that helps.

Yvette

You can delete it in WordPress.

I don't want to delete it. I want to revise it but don't want it seen till I do so. That would stink. Can it be done? I'm searching.

If you constructed it in site content you would have a draft copy there. But as others have said, you can edit it in WordPress and make it a draft copy. Personally I would just make the changes and update it. jim

Hi,

I have gsuite setup as for my biz account and want to set up autorespond but doesn't have a setting for it. Does anyone here know if it can be don

GSuite is not an autoresponder.

Thanks. Is there a way I can set up canned responses on gsuite? That was the question I should have asked. My bad.

You can always save drafts of messages, then copy/pasted as appropriate.

Thank you. Think that is what I will do. A shame that you can't work the same with gsuite as with regular gmail. Best, Tiger

I was looking at the About Me page and wondering if I should break up the paragraphs and add images or is that not necessary? Don't remember it being in training to do that bu

No specific requirements. For example, I am having my picture inserted.

Thank you, Nadja! Yeah, I just broke up the paragraphs into smaller bite-size pieces. Re-edited it and put pix!

Best,
Gail

Wish you a success...

Thank you and to you as well! Cheerz, Tiger

Not sure about images, possibly one of you, and small paragraphs.

Your choice.
Jerry

It's always good to break up your paragraphs when writing any content online. Also, add pictures. Here's a post I wrote on it.

Wow! I'm always amazed at the almost instantaneous replies and helps. Thank you money! I hope I start making some:)

Best,
Tiger

You're welcome.

In the end you want quality content (really tell people about you) and a pleasant to read experience. Definitely break up the large blocks into manageable paragraphs. At a minimum, include a picture of you or something relevant to your niche. You don't need a lot of images but at least one would be good.

Great feedback from everyone and gratefully appreciated. That's why I love this community and helping me grow in knowledge and confidence!

Hi WA, I wanted to know if there is a way to see who isn't following back that you are following? Thanks for help. Tiger

Yes, I agree with onmyownterms. To take a look at it, click this link: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/henry-ii/network
Click on "Following" or "Followed by" according to what you want to see.
All the best! :)

Thank you, Henry, for the help. Just wondering. Have a great weekend!

Cheerz,
Tiger

Thank you. I was just wondering if had control over it like on Twitter. No matter. Thank you for answering. Have a great weekend!
