Hate Forced Upgrades
At last, I finally feel that I am getting somewhere.
Since I upgraded to Premium a month ago I've been buried up to my ears unraveling the chaos I'd generated over the previous 8 or 9 months following everyone except WA.
Not many of you know that I joined WA over a year ago but threw my toys out of the pram because of that nagging "7-day upgrade" deadline. I abandoned WA and went off down countless other avenues, spending in excess of $3,000 on various "guaranteed income" schemes that turned out to be smoke and mirrors.
But, hey, I learned a lot. I learned a lot about what doesn't work. I learned a lot about how deceptive a good looking offer can be. I learned a lot about what I really do not want to spend my life doing.
And I learned a lot about how a working system goes together.
Of course, I could've learned that last bit in just a few weeks, if I'd stayed with WA instead of storming off in a tantrum. That's life, I guess.
Anyhow, I'm back now. I feel utterly at home here. I've built up a HUGE catalogue of "what to do" and "what not to do", and it's now 90% indexed and ready to be built into my website. The website structure is fully formed in my head, and 90% formed on paper. It just needs a few tweeks on the server over the next few days.

I agree with you and I feel the same way in many areas of my life - when someone else asks me advice based on my experience over the years in different areas - instead of jumping in and boldly reeling off a list of to dos - I most likely (in my older age) will tell them, I can better tell you through my experience what NOT to do. That wisdom can be as valuable or more valuable than the other! Anything learned through experience good or bad is incredibly valuable if you apply it wisely. Good post as always- thanks
Good post. But I think we all need those experiences to learn, and in the end...to teach! At least, it's my vision, since I decided to teach in my blog what works and what it doesn't work. Nothing like a good "bad" experience, don't you agree? Go for it...I'm looking foward to see your site!
Great to have you here again Chris. Honesty and being out there with what has gone down before is a great quality to have. All the best. Sally
Haha, when I signed up back in January, I then went and did something else for most of the week. When I came back, the 7 days had nearly run out and I had something like 1 or 2 days left. So I felt really under pressure to make a decision.
On the plus side, you can see how this means that our referrals are more likely to upgrade to premium as well, especially as the first month is at a reduced price.
As someone who was a member of WA back in 2009, then left and explored many other different ways to earn money online, I can totally empathise with you. It's possible to end up spending a lot of money on other training that doesn't come anywhere near as close to WA.
Also, I like Kyle's comparison with a real university. If we were trying to learn all this from a traditional university, it would cost a lot more than WA does, and it possibly wouldn't be as good. Here we have two internet marketing experts leading a crowd of people all at varying stages in their internet marketing journey.
I think everything we need is here at WA, and it's really a case of getting out what we are willing to put into it. I think if someone does all the training here, and takes lots of action, puts the work in, they will succeed in some way. And if there are any problems along the way, we all help each other out.
Hey Chris,
I also felt "pressured" by the 7-day thing until I finally upgraded.
I'm glad that I did, but in the beginning I misinterpreted it as being forced to do it, and that reminded me of all the many "others" that had resulted in wasted money and misery.
Anyway, I now have a better understanding of how things work and I'm glad to be Premium.
It's good to have you around !!

You have hit the nail on the head. It's one thing to say "well 7 days is plenty of time" but it all depends on the person's situation.
I came across WA while I was busy doing other stuff. It looked interesting enough that I didn't want to lose the link, so I signed up. But I knew I would not be able to take it up for several days.
When I came back, day 4 as I recall, I got the time bomb. But I'd just been stitched twice by upsells elsewhere and I was not about to fall for that trick again.
I even refused to put my goals up because I'd done it another site and then been "encouraged" every day for weeks with "well if you're serious about achieving x then you need to do y - I can sign you up today for just $135/mo" etc.
I have every sympathy for caution and suspicion.
Good conversation, Chris...I'm very glad you're here as I'm learning a lot from your blogs and your personal help. SO...if you ever decide to leave, we'll chase you down and drag you back. :)

Good decision to upgrade.
Oh yeah. Better late than never.
