Looking to delete some old posts. I see that this can be bad for SEO in some cases and there are tests you can take to determine whether this is a good idea or not.
I wouldnt delete any post unless it was completely wrong due to new technology or development. my strategy would be update
The content in question is some of my old reviews for clickbank products. Some I think are OK to keep but the trouble is that the products I've reviewed are no longer online. It does seem a shame to waste hours of writing but someone said that it is good to have a purge every once in a while because of crawl budget.
I mean I know you are a seasoned blogger you're definitely someone who I should listen to but I do feel my older content some of it I don't really like.
I'm cool with deleting some posts but not if it's going to have a negative effect on my site.
I think the question you must ask yourself is, what good are they doing? Forget the work and the time. If you have links to products no longer available, they are broken links, and I definitely wouldn't have that. I might be tempted to make a banner in Canva that says something like xxxx product is no longer available. Go to and give a URL for a newer, better product. If none is available, then I would delete a review that can't make you money. I would start with Google Analytics, and if it has no visitors, let it go.

How do you know if old content is ok to delete?

Hi Alex,
Take a look at the following in your Google Analytics and Search Console for the last 12 months.
Search Console:
* Little to no impressions for the page in question
Google Analytics
* Little to no visitor for the page in question
This is a likely sign to either unpublish the post or try and re-write the post.
Regards,
Jay
Then it serves no purpose an old review to a product that doesn't exist, not indexed. What is it for?
I am just going though a few of these posts and I am seeing that they have not actually been indexed. I have deleted one post so far that I didn't really like but what do you think of this example? Product review for product that has changed its name so I wrote a newer review. There is a notice at top of post that says I have a new better review published. Should I delete this or request indexing?

Purchased this new plugin the other day Post Gopher by Promote Labs. I was hoping I could use it with Systeme.io . Contacted support this was response.
Thank you for c
Guys. I have solved this. I have set up an automatic action with Zapier and my free Mailchimp account. Systeme.io does not have its own integrations but for now, every new subscriber I get through Mailchimp will be automatically added to my Systeme.io funnel.
I still need to do a lot of work setting things up but finally, this is the solution I've been looking for.
I have just finished a post where I discuss in more detail if anyone wants to read.

Hi I use Systeme.io as my email autoresponder the free version ( not paid subscription).
I don't use post gopher or Zapier. I just go to their email and create a form then put that form on my website.
Instructions are inside systeme website
https://help.systeme.io/article/266-how-to-create-and-integrate-a-form-or-a-popup-on-your-external-site
Simple as that. I'm not sure what you're doing with APIs. I don't even need the APIs to work on my website.
Yes, I do that myself. It is just this new plugin I have paid for (post gopher) I need to use an Email Marketing Service to collect emails and add to my funnel. My problem is that Systeme.io doesn't have API integration like Getresponse, Aweber etc. They said that Zapier handle their integrations and that I could maybe set this up through there but it's so confusing - Very frustrating. I could hire someone on Freelancer or Fiverr but for what they charge may as well pay for another EMS with API integration.
Alex, I understand how Post Gopher can boost your email list. I would not have paid for it because I already know Systeme dot io does not have API integration to work with their system. The owner, Aurelian Amacker, I know him well. He has not invested in using APIs because he built it to be different from other funnel builders and email marketing. It is all in one without APIs. It's created uniquely, and that is why Systeme is taking off. No Wordpress or plug-ins are needed. That was the point he wanted for Systeme. He would have told you paid for nothing.
So sorry. The other way is to transfer your email list migration to GetResponse or Aweber, but then you must pay for their services. I still have my AWeber account, but Systeme dot io has more free contacts.
I created another domain name and used syteme as funnel and email, blog, etc., under that domain and kept it separated as a different account. It's not even Wordpress, or like click funnels or builder all, or another funnel builder. Amacker tends to sell digital e-courses. That's the purpose of Systeme, not like what we do as affiliate marketing in Wordpress. He promotes e-courses, coaching, and consulting services. That's why Systeme was built for that reason. He told me this in his email to me.
Alex, did you get the announcement about the new API at systeme dot io?
https://help.systeme.io/article/2329-how-to-use-systeme-io-public-api
Not sure if that will help you- with Post Gopher, any luck so far what is the outcome, have you figured it out?

Thinking of trying some experiments with some different marketing methods. Any good free link trackers. Can anyone recommend?
You have FANTASTIC responses here; kindly let us know if you require additional assistance.
Bitly, TinyUrl, Linktrackr, Clickmagick, ClixTrack, and Pretty Links exist. WA members here use the Pretty Links plugin. I use the Pretty Links free plugin. You can opt for the paid version, but I do not see a need.
I think you get something in Wealthy Affiliate in the Jaxxy software? I haven't looked yet.
