It All Ended In Tears - So So Sad

I can imagine that you are all wondering what has happened.

First of all please let me reassure you that nothing bad has happened.

Some of you will understand a bit better when I get into telling you what has happened.

Yesterday afternoon when I came home after work Gavin (son) was sitting watching the film of the musical Les Miserables and he informed me that compared to Netflix you can get so many more musicals on Amazon Prime and that he had managed to find Miss Saigon.

Earlier on this year Gavin and his friend had gone to see the musical as it was touring and they both loved it. As I had already been to see it years ago I was able to give them a bit of a briefing as to what it was like but leaving out the important bits. When he came home that night he confessed that he couldn't believe how one musical could play with your emotions so much.

Anyway, back to what I was saying, we both decided to watch what was the 25th Anniversary spectactular that they had filmed on the stage and I had forgotten a lot of what had happened so it was so good to see it again. However, there are happy and sad parts throughout both first and second acts of the show.

We started to watch the show yesterday afternoon but never got the chance to watch it right to the end so we finished watching the end of it today and the ending is so tragic that it had both myself and Gavin sitting with tears rolling down our faces.

So, for anyone out there who has not already saw Miss Saigon at all or for a long time and would love to see it again, then I most certainly would advise that if you have Amazon Prime or know someone who has it then go to the musicals, find this great show and please watch it.

If you do not cry at the end I will be very surprised.

Enjoy the rest of your week and have a

Thanks Cheryl i have not seen it yet.

Glenys, if you can't get to see it on stage at any time then find someone with Prime and watch it there as it is what you would see on the stage but on film. xxxx

That one picture my roommate has on her wall.

I'm not surprised Roger, it is a great image. Thank you. xxxx

You're welcome, Cheryl.

Awww. I love movies that make me cry. Crazy, huh?

I love movies that make me happy and that make me cry Wendi, some days you just need that sentimental movie and to have a good cry and other days you need that movie that makes you laugh heartily. xxx

So true.
Wendi :)

This is just one of many great musicals.

Derek

It most certainly is Derek. There are so so many we could talk about lol. xxx

A great musical for sure to watch and stirs your emotions. My wife and I saw Phantom of the Oprea in Seattle a couple weeks ago. Another story that stirs the emotions. It was on our bucket list to see.

I have to say that this is one of those musicals that doesn't entirely take my interest although my husband would love to see it. xxxx

Hey Cheryl,
So this is a sad movie!!! I'm glad you got to bond with your son!!!

Tried and True

Elaine

Hi Elaine,

Miss Saigon, is both a happy and a sad musical. It is very up and down but the ending is just one of those ones where you go OMG.

If you ever get a chance to either see the film or see it on stage I would highly recommend it. If you watch the film, you are really just seeing it exactly as if you were watching it there on stage as that is what they have done - filmed the stage show. xxxx

Yes, nothing gives you more feelings than musicals. I am glad to hear that from another fan. But I am not going to watch it, again, because I am in a great mood and I won't get that destroyed.
But thank you for sharing, I might remember that for the Christmas time since I will stay alone. Will that makes you cry?

You are quite right Mariion, do not put yourself in a sad mood when your mood is sky high.

You just watch as and when you feel you want to. xxxx

Glad to know someone else who cried at sad movies! Since I see a movie of what I'm reading, I also cry when I read something sad. My new TV has Netflix and a bunch of other junk that I don't know how to use (technoidiot that I am!), but I'll definitely have to find Miss Saigon when I find my DVD player in the moving mess!

Carol, that's why we are sisters lol. I cry at books, films, shows in the theatre, even songs. If you don't already have prime then you need to get it to see Miss Saigon. It's not actually a film, it is the actual musical you would see if you went to see it on stage but they have filmed it. xxxx

Wow! That would be great. I love musicals. Was in our local theatre's production of "Hello Dolly" a few years ago. What a blast! Lots of work, though!

I forgot about songs. The songs "Sunrise, Sunset" from "Fiddler on the Roof" , "Danny Boy", and "The Last Farewell" still make me cry, to name a few.

Hi Cheryl
I have not seen Miss Saigon the Play nor the Film and do not have TV Netflix Truth be told in is not my choice .
Thanx for sharing though
David

No problem David, it is entirely up to you if you watch them or not.

I just think it is such a great musical, that is just my opinion and every has their own about things. xxx

It's many years since I watched those musicals. I watched them on Broadway when I was in New York with my daughter in her holidays between school and university. I can have a Free 30 day Amazon Prime trial which I am saving until nearer Christmas, but will remember and watch them then. Many thanks.
