Google’s New Link Building Guidelines! - This is Important for All.
Yes, that is right, Google has changed things again. The way we do links, including nofollow, follow, exclude, etc is changing by Google once again. It is getting really hard to keep up.
Rather than bore you with the details, here are two great sources that I rely on for the latest updates, that tell you everything you need to know about the latest link rules in Google:

https://webmasters.googleblog.com/2019/09/evolving-nofollow-...
These are not affiliate links, just really useful information on this latest change by Google.

I also am a fan of Neil's writing.
On the Google thing... I burned out on chasing Google and SEO in my first round of doing this stuff.
I see it like IF Google is letting people know about my sites then great... that is an extra for free... but I won't ever build an online business relying on that again. It basically puts all of your business under the power of them not us.
I am a fan of the low hanging fruit of course it makes sense. Just saying I would much prefer to not even care what Google is deciding to do on a given day. :)
Thanks for sharing this. It is just more of a reason imo to focus on other marketing strategies. Basically build links only to bring people to the websites... focus on direct traffic generation not Google rankings. Then what Google does is basically irrelevant.
I wish you the best of luck with your strategy. Sadly, I think we need Google, Facebook, Bing, Yahoo, and so many others to be successful at affiliate marketing. I don't believe free traffic will ever get me where I want to go.
Thanks. I am not knocking it entirely. I just think even if a person starts out focusing on chasing Google rankings it makes great sense to use that to be more independent.
Building an email list and even a community such as a forum. Of course, also can lead any Google referrals to social media as followers on Twitter, etc.
Also Google "owns" 75% of search... that means 25% of search they do not own. There are probably hundreds of millions of active websites online... Google search is one of those.
Take a look at the example of this site WA. If Google never sent a person here they would still survive and grow. How? Because thousands (maybe tens or even hundreds of thousands) of different websites are referring people to this site.
Best of luck in all that you do! :)
I just write from the heart and if that is not good enough, so be it. I am not writing for Google's pleasure, but mine and my clients. And I do little keyword research.
If I wasn't an expert in my niche then I might have to.

As time passes everything changes too. How do we keep up with these things if we are not updated? Thanks for the watchers that continue to inform us.
Thanks, Curtis I use Niel Patel myself, but the webmasters Google blog was a new resource for me.
Much appreciated.
