What Can I Help With or Help In for 2021?

2020 has been a life-changing year for all of us. I say that confidently and unapologetically. Every single one of us has been impacted by the events of this year. This has led me to reach out and ask you what do you need help with or help in as we move into 2021.

It was around this time, in 2019, that the wave of furious change started to build before the tsunami hit our unprepared world. We could not be prepared because these events were unimaginable.

From Pain Points to Growth Goals

As you start to bring closure to this year, I would like to ask you to reflect for a few minutes and think about what you need to grow and achieve your goals.

Earlier on, in August, I reached out to our Wealthy Affiliate (WA) Community and asked you to share your pain points. That resulted in 10 tutorials which addressed things that could hold you back from achieving your goals.

The series of tutorials were very well-supported and I would like to thank everyone for the feedback I received.

Next year, the focus is on growth. Helping you to define and achieve the goals that will push you forward, support your development and sustain your success.

Strengthen Your Other Foot

We have no end of technical and industry training and support within WA.

From the ongoing feedback that I receive however, and the questions that I am asked, more is needed to strengthen the other foot - that internal, emotive and mental functioning side of yourself.

This is the part of you that is often taken for granted or neglected and deserves some more attention.

Aspects of your function that will move you along this journey faster and more effectively.

For example:

  • resilience,
  • assertiveness,
  • decision-making,
  • confidence,
  • planning,
  • consistency,
  • courage and,
  • managing fear.

These behaviours may be holding you back without you even knowing. Or, you may be so caught up in fighting to achieve material success that you do not realise your lack until it is too late.

Let's Step Up Together

So, let's hold on together and move forward into the new year.

Take a few minutes to stop, reflect and finish one of these statements or, make up your own.

  • "I want to become more . . . . . . . in 2021."
  • "I want to be a better . . . . in 2021."
  • "I want to learn more about . . . . . in 2021."
  • "I want to improve my . . . . . . . . in 2021."

It will be my pleasure to design and share another series.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Cassi

I agree with TwAck. Everything is related within ourselves and often working on one thing will strengthen others at the same time. At least that seems to work for me.

I need to work on time management and focus (not being distracted)

2020 has been a difficult year as you say. I hope for better in 2021.

One thing I intend to work on myself is identifying and correcting issues that Google sometimes highlights on my sites through Search Console.

But that is an entire category (with multiple websites) in itself and, a personal hell for each of us. (everything is so specific to each site that the plethora of generic training out there cannot help you pin-point the specific issue).

Sorry - going down the rabbit hole here. I will stop now.

But I would love to see a series on it.

Alex

Alex, I like your thoughts and what you have put forward.
It can be a bit overwhelming trying to get to the specifics for resolve.

I will certainly give this some consideration.

Thank you.
Cassi

Thanks, Cassi,

My own experience trying to fix issues Google says that I have has been frustrating.
Often, I will review and look at what Google is saying and work on the page. Most of the time I am successful in fixing the error, but it does seem like trial and error to get to a solution.

This is hard to document, as I am never certain which "fix" actually worked in Google hell.

Alex

I hear your frustration, Alex.
It can really get to you sometimes.

But you have the support and I am sure we can find some interventions that may help.

Cassi

Thanks for the inspiring post Cass, a lot of interesting info.

Personally;

I want to become more pro active...
I want to be a better writer....
I want to learn more about all aspects of affiliate marketing....
I want to improve my time management...

Hope you have a splendid Sunday.

Great, really great goals, Nick!

I will definitely incorporate them into the series.

Thank you.
Cassi

Thanks a lot Cass, I can't wait to see what I'm sure will be another amazingly interesting and highly educational series.

You're not wrong Cassi, the 'internals' are where we fall down, either through negligence or just ignorance (if we don't know it's a factor, how can we fix it, kind of thing)

I think it's true to say that if you identify (and that might mean having an honest and open chat with yourself) the areas on the inside that need attention, then the chances are the rest will fall into place

We're definitely 'in tune' as my last post touched upon two items on your list. I lightly addressed consistency, organisation and being too hard on ourselves when things go wrong.

One thing I realised, as I was writing, was that they were all interdependent and when you look at your list I can see that the same could also be said to be true.

Take confidence, courage, assertiveness and decision-making, they are all linked, crack one and there's a good chance the others will fall in line.
Similarly, with decision-making, planning and resilience, they are all inextricably intertwined.

As for me, I could do with either more hours in the day (or improving my own time-management) or being able to concentrate/focus my efforts on one area (without feeling guilty)
It'll come.

I look forward to your literary findings.

Twack, you are my co-Tutor. 🙂

You have hit the nail on the head!
"they were all interdependent"
They certainly are and if like dominoes, we hit one piece, it ricochets.

Brilliant as always.

Thank you.
Cassi

Cassi

It's great if you decide to do that!
Excellent, thank you, Cassi!

Timo

I want to be more courageous and decisive in 2021.

I love this, Richard!

What many people do not realise is that our internal functioning is expressed in our writing.
Our visitors will sense and feel attracted to what we put out there.

So, getting these aspects of our behaviours aligned is important.

Thank you.
Cassi

Thank you, Cassi. This is a great point! How we feel will be expressed in our writing. You are always so enlightening. :)
