I've been thinking about uploading a picture of my face in the 'about me' part of my website. The website has my first name and the city I live in. I'm looking for some opinion
I think showing your face provides a degree of trust with those who are looking at your site. I feel, and it's only my opinion of course, that being able to see who I am "connecting" with makes a huge difference. Good luck :)

EDIT: I fixed the problem! Did a bit of googling and turns out when inserting gifs into a Wordpress site it usually cuts the gif down, which turns the gif into a still image. Y
Hi Cheyenne,
Providing your animated gif files all have a file extension of:
.gif
than they should work fine. Many computer users do not see the file extension and as such you MAY think you have a gif when in fact you have a png file.
You could test that you have the proper animated file BEFORE uploading it by opening it in your browser first. If you're using Windows, simply right-mouse click and select "Open with" then choose your browser.
Hope this helps you.
Hi Triblu, thanks for the advice. My gif is definitely a gif file, and it works when I open it in the browser. I've uploaded it twice to my Wordpress site but it doesn't work. It's a bit of a long gif so I'm thinking size might be an issue. It might also be that it was originally an 8 second video (no sound) that I converted into a gif. I'll try again to upload it to the website though, maybe there was a small glitch. :)
Hey Cheyenne,
If you cannot see the file extension, how do you know for certain that it is a gif file? I have uploaded gif files and short video files and both upload and play fine on the WA server.
However, if it is a video file then you will need a video player plugin to have it work.

I saw someone had asked this question already, but I can't access it as I'm not premium. Currently my post preview on my home page looks like this:
