Stanford Memorial Church
The Stanford Memorial Church is an impressive building visible from a distance and situated in the center of Stanford University. You can't help but admire this unique architecture in California.

Jan Stanford built the church in memory of her late husband who was also instrumental in finding an Italian mosaic designer, Maurizio Camerino to create mosaics for the church.
After Leyland Stanford's death in 1893; legal disputes hampered all forms of development at the University, and Jane Stanford eventually prevailed after settling the disputes in her favor. Mrs. Stanford's funeral was held in the church in 1905. She was the driving force behind the design and construction of the church.
The church sustained significant damage due to two earthquakes and rebuilding altered the original facade. The church is non-denominational and with daily ceremonies and worship. The interior is just as impressive and is the chapel preferred by couples for their wedding ceremony. Source:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanford_Memorial_Church

Beautiful family. I am familiar with the church. I spent seven years of my life at Stanford, and have many fond memories. Thank you for brightening my day.
