Using Video Within Your Custom Sign Ups
Hey WA Community,
Just wanted to share some results I have been having that has to do with the custom WA sign ups. If you are promoting WA you should really be using them because it let's you customize exactly what the sign up page says and also lets you add a custom picture or video.
But the reason for this blog post before a couple of weeks ago all my custom sign ups just had a picture of me or some type of image relevant to the page they came from on my website. Which is great, but I had not seen great results with just a picture.
So I decided to create a short little video that has me welcoming them to WA and letting them know I will be there to help them out. At the end of the video I actually show them what to do once they get inside. So I show them they need to upload an image and fill out there bio.
Since uploading this new video on my custom sign ups I have had 6 out of my 8 referrals complete their profile! Which is a much much higher rate then before.
Just wanted to let the people out there promoting WA know that the change has seemed to make a difference so you may want to think about adding a video to your custom sign ups. Like I said above its probably been about 10 days or so since adding the new video so I don't have a huge sample size, but so far it has worked!

P.S. What is the best size for the video in the custom landing page? :)
My video is about 45 seconds long and for the size, I use camtasia to edit my videos and I just have it set to the YouTube Recommend Size which is 1280X720 and It worked just fine!

it would be! Last time I checked they did not, but the design has completely changed since last time I took a look at it maybe something to mention to Kyle!

Super I think this will be my very first attempt at doing anything like that but it sure stands to reason.

no it's a video that shows up within the custom sign up. so when someone decides to click on a link that takes them to join WA from my website instead of opening to WA homepage it opens to WA with my custom sign up. It will have the text that I decided to add plus the video and to the right the information to fill out to join.

Ey Brok is this covered in Boot Camp? I'm thinking that it probably is... I really need to get back to it!
I am almost 100% positive that it is covered in one of the later courses of bootcamp. Possibly phase 5!
