I took a short break in Jamaica
I went to Jamaica last month to visit my beautiful mom who I have been missing sorely for over five years. And it did my heart the world of good to see her and enjoy her company ....really precious moments for me. My mom is in her eighties and she is still independent and recently made her commitment to follow Jesus, and got baptised. So I was blessed to enjoy going to church to worship with her which is a rare blessing in deed.
But As I have been praying for years for her to be converted and saved this blog should really be entitled "my testimony" as God has answered my prayers.

I was also blessed to find ripe mangoes were on the trees when I got home. I felt like a kid in a candy shop, only I didn't need to pay any money and it was healthy sweets ..... just thinking back is making my mouth water.

Anyway the highlight of my visit was the dinner that we shared as a family to celebrate my mom's birthday and my sisters birthday (me, my mom, two sisters, uncle, nephews and some of our close neighbours).
So it's nice to be back on Wealthy Affiliates. I have a lot of catching up to do; updating content on my website and interacting with my fellow bloggers and wealthy affiliates. I hope you all weren't missing me too much :-)
I think my break meant the difference between burnout and keeping motivated. So take my advice and if no one gives you a break then you owe it to yourself to take one... even if it's not in the Caribbean :D

Happy to hear that you enjoyed a wonderful time visiting your family and for your dear Mother's birthday Brenda!
We all need to take a break and there is no better way to do so than visiting family and loved ones!
Enjoy the start of your weekend my friend!
Many thanks for your positive response and good will. Family is a true blessing. And living in a different country can make one so home sick for loved ones. I took a while to reply but all the best for a beautiful weekend to you... this weekend :-)
Thanks for your positive and encouraging comment. It was a positive experience. Blessings to you
Glad you had some special time with your Mom, Brenda. I believe in taking short breaks throughout the year. It does the soul good. Jenni
Breaks are important. Visiting you mom is even more important. I am trying to figure out how to visit my 85 year old sister who lives across the country. I need a break and I need to visit. Your post is a little push.
Jim
Glad to know that by sharing I have sent some motivation your way to go see your sister. I am sure it will be a boon of health to both of you. Safe travels when you do Jim :-)
Thanks for reading and cheering me on with positive comments and feedback Jeff. Have a lovely weekend!

Family is so special. You are lucky to be able to celebrate your mom’s birthday with her.
Lovely post
Stephen
Many thanks Stephen! I do feel blessed and lucky to have my mother and to go and spend some quality time with her and some of my siblings. It was a really heart warming experience, and long overdue. I am truly grateful to God for it.
