My 6 Month Review & 6 Month Projection

Last Update: March 12, 2014

What An Adventure This Is!!!

It's already been six months since I've started here at WA. Did I meet any of my goals? Yep, sure did! I did miss my financial goals, though, however. In fact I have yet to earn any money, but, that's ok, because, I know that money will be coming soon.

Which Way Is Up?

When I first started here, I had no idea what to expect. Not in terms of money. Or anything else for that matter. But I made some predictions about my what I thought I'd earn anyway. And in hindsight, I still like my original goals.

There certainly are people making money at this inside of 6 months. But for me quick money just wasn't in the cards.

Quitting Is The Only "Wrong" Way.

I had to go down the "wrong" road for a couple of months, (it was a learning process, and thus not really "wrong"). I worked hard pursuing an idea that was fundamentally flawed, (my site idea didn't directly match people searching for a product with a product to buy). Its a little more complicated than that. But that's the gist of it.

Site Owners Kyle & Carson To The Rescue

Fortunately, Carson, and Kyle, quickly exposed the flaw in my plan. And far earlier than I would have noticed it otherwise!

A small part of me does feel like I wasted those 3 months. But I know that just isn't true. Because I learned some great lessons. And I'm going to take those lessons with me everywhere I go.

Feeling Right At Home Here Now

At this point, I am on the final lesson of Level 2. I've learned a ton. And I've met a lot of nice people here. Like I already said, I didn't meet my original financial goals, BUT, I DID meet my most important goals, which were,

"The next 6 months, I will have persevered through this difficult time of learning, and trial and error. I will have learned quite a bit about writing great content, and using various software and tools. I will be active in the WA community and I will have solidified relationships with a few people."

Sometimes There Is A Line At The ATM

The money part IS important, but, I'm just not that worried about it because I know I'm in a good spot here. And I know my continuous effort will start paying off eventually. I've been relentless in my pursuit. I can't ask for much more than that! Now, I just need to wait my turn for the payoff.

I Can Hardly Wait To Get Through The Next 6 Months Here

Here's my new goals for the next six months:

A) Continue to be active in the WA community-chatting with my friends, making new friends, and helping the new members whenever I can.
B) Have a nice looking site with a logo, menu's, categories, sidebars, a fairly impressive amount of content, and affiliate links.
C) Get at least 1 keyword in a top 3 ranking on Google, and 3 more KW's on page 1.
D) Have made my first sale. And hopefully many more!
E) Complete Level 3 of the Certification Course.
F) Write articles/pages on a regular basis, and, learn to write them much faster than I do now. Maybe 2 hrs for a solid 400-600 words.
G) Scale back my hours at my regular job so I can work on my website more.
H) Increase efficiency.
I) Begin participating in the Wabinars. At least once per month.

I hope that the next 6 months here are just as fun as the last 6! It was a lot of fun, but, it wasn't all fun. In fact, it was quite difficult at times. But, I'm proud to say that giving up never even crossed my mind. I can hardly wait to see what the next 6 months will bring. I feel certain they will bear much more tangible fruit.

Thanks again to all the members who have welcomed me, befriended me, and assisted me!

Well said and written Brad. At this stage of the game I know that the money will come. I can see a pattern in everything that I've been taught here and there's no doubt in my mind that it will happen in the natural progression of things, no doubt!

What an awesome blog post Brad. No matter the obstacles, perseverance through the trials and tribulations of growing a business is what it takes to grasp the golden ring.

Knowledge is a valuable thing. I know I have a lot to learn. But I also know that I am in the right place to learn.
