Should You Blog on WA-Every Day?

Sometimes it seems like your WA blog is just sitting there doing nothing. Do comments grow on it continually? Does it make you money? Does it show up in the SERPs?

Well, maybe not. So what is the WA blog and how often should you use it? Every day?

I use mine pretty infrequently most of the time - and chances are you do, too. Sure, I will go through kicks of posting a lot in a month or so, but then I let it ferment for awhile.

Most people use their WA blog to document their progress, talk about their journey within WA and internet marketing, set and pursue goals publicly, write motivational/inspirational posts, or even discuss news within the marketing industry.

And all of these things are exactly what the WA blog is for! If this is what you've been using it for then good for you!

Every now and then, though, I see people misusing their WA blog. Most are newbies and laymen who don't know any better, but there are a few who seem to forget why they have a blog here at WA.

First off, your WA blog is not for you to post about your niche specifically. For instance, your post about finding the perfect gaming keyboard doesn't go here on WA - it goes on your niche website! Unless you are discussing your niche in the context of internet marketing, it doesn't belong here.

Second, you're spamming if you post blog posts with one sentence or just a few words. If you need help, that's what asking a question in a classroom is for, don't do it with a blog post.

Also, I don't know if it's technically against the rules, but I consider blog posts with mostly just pictures to be spam. Especially if they are clip art, stock photos, or images with text.

Third: making really repetitive posts with no new relevant information can be a real drag. Short and encouraging posts are good, but please don't get in the habit of making your blog only say "you can do it!" over and over again. Instead, give people new perspectives and ideas to try. Tell them about how you personally set goals and achieve them.

So should you post in the WA blog every day? Well, probably not in most cases. If you are doing a lot every day and have time to talk about it in your WA blog, then go for it. If you have a lot of relevant content to share with WA and you're just brimming with ways to help folks here, go for it. If you're doing really well online and want to share your success stories or show off your lifestyle, go for it!

But if you make a short little post that is not very useful every day just to game the WA ranking system, please stop. It's not helpful! Go answer some questions or hang out in chat. Better yet, work on your websites! :D

And if you only ask short questions in your blog, then learn the differences between questions and blog posts. Questions are posted in classrooms specifically for people to help you with something. Your blog is more about sharing with the community.

By and large, the WA blog is about helping the community and sharing your personal marketing experiences and advice. Have something to share? Well, get out there are start blogging! But... maybe not EVERY day. :)
