Making Updates and Free Affiliate Bootcamp Keywords
For all of us who write website content and especially create training tutorials here within WA, I believe it is sometimes necessary to update our content to reflect change. This morning I started making updates to some of my earliest tutorials from three years ago in 2015.
THINGS HAVE CHANGED IN 3 YEARS
I sometimes have to take a step back and reflect on all the financial benefits I have gained from the Wealthy Affiliate training program. One of my biggest gains is in the knowledge of keyword research and SEO, which I have made money from in doing freelance content writing for other websites.
And of course the other biggest gain is in the knowledge of how affiliate marketing works and being able to make money from a few different programs outside of WA itself. Some of these affiliate programs do not even require me to have a website, though having one I feel is best in the long run.
Since joining WA in 2013, a lot has changed in online marketing both inside and outside of WA. Wealthy Affiliate keeps evolving and updating their training as well as the look of their website, just as Google does the same with their SEO algorithms, Google Search Console, and Google Plus.
HOW TO IMPROVE WEBSITE RANKING
Change is inevitable and we all must adapt. So now I am going through all of my 65+ training tutorials, focusing mainly on the older ones first, and updating them where I see fit. I started with my 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th tutorials and made some updates.
These four tutorials are part of a four-series set called How to Improve Website Ranking. I focus in on how to use keywords, especially long tail keywords, why having a content posting schedule helps SEO, why and how to use internal links to boost SEO, and how to use GWT or Google Search Console to find actionable keywords.
FREE KEYWORDS
In parts 1, 2 and 3 I also offer about a dozen free keywords that are perfect for those doing the Affiliate Bootcamp. I provide the current metrics for each keyword in both Monthly Avg. Searches and Competition/QSR. The majority are low hanging fruit keywords with a QSR under 100.
In tutorials part 2 and 3, I also included free keywords in the Health and Wellness / Weight Loss niche. So if you are doing Bootcamp or are into the Health niche, make sure to check out those keywords. I went into Jaaxy and updated all the numbers so they are current as of today March 11, 2018.
I will be updating more of my tutorials moving forward. One major update has to be my tutorial on how to use Google Plus. Big changes have occurred since I originally did that tutorial. I was thinking about doing training for the newbies on the various notification buttons here within WA.
But I am glad I didn't because the entire look of WA is about to change.

Thank you Vanessa. It was mentioned somewhere in Kyle's OEP training that when we create training here at WA we need to keep it current as best as we can. I think I will only have to update about a third of my tutorials.
One third!? How many is that? I so do not envy you, LOL. But hopefully there aren't too many changes to be made to your tutorials.
That's so much fun. Took me three days just to do the updates but they are needed.

Thanks, that's important stuff, and very good for the community to keep all training up to date, I know, a lot of my training is timeless, but I have to check them too, I have updated my training about 25 points before you hit the publish button already
The really BIG update for me is going to be my tutorial on Google Plus. I have known for months that I need to update it but it will require me to almost re-write the whole tutorial.
All of my other updates for my earlier tutorials like those 4 above are minor in comparison to the Google Plus update. I will most likely leave the biggest update for last. ;-)

One of my toughest days wasn't in Fort. Jacksonville Basic training doing the Gas Chamber and having to recite my SS# and other militarily related questions for that few secs without the mask, but close, Lets just say with all due respect glad that this is totally different and I look forward to learning more about keyword. Keep up the proficient work!
First off, thank you for your service to this country. Secondly, if you need help with keywords, just ask. I will give you a tip I learned long ago from Kyle about keywords...
If you cannot come up with a target keyword for your page or post, publish your content without it because Google will still index and rank you for it.
