NOTE: SINCE THE PUBLISHING OF THIS TUTORIAL GOOGLE HAS CHANGED THE NAME OF GOOGLE WEBMASTER TOOLS TO "GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE" BUT THEIR WEB ADDRESS STILL SAYS WEBMASTER TOOLS.

In this 4th part of my training series, How to Improve Website Rankings, I will explain some of the benefits of Google Webmaster Tools that I use to help boost my SEO. If you do not have your website registered with Google Webmaster Tools (GWT), then I HIGHLY recommend that you do so!

If you want to get good rankings it is essential that you have your website registered with GWT. Kyle provides training that will get you set up very easily. If you haven’t reached that part of the training yet, you will eventually. If you do have GWT set up, I will share two features I always use that helps to get me better rankings quicker.

Why I love using Google Webmaster Tools

Google Webmaster Tools is a free Google service that can help a great deal with the building and operation of your website. It contains many features that will help to keep your online business and websites running smoothly. The more-smooth your website operates, the better your SEO.

Though I use GWT for many different things, the two areas I consistently use it for is to find current actionable keywords for my top rated posts and to get my content indexed into Google within hours of publishing it, thus bypassing the normal 3 to 4 day waiting period.

Hi Robert, appreciate this information very much. Just yesterday I logged in to GWT and was looking at the information and thought to myself that I should spend more time getting familiar with all the info it provides.

You are welcome Vanessa! There are many more features to GWT than what I explained here and I will be doing another training on those other features in the near future. I just didn't want to cram them all into one training.

But yes, I highly recommend you poke around in GWT. It is how I learned much of what I know now. :)
