Learning & Laughter #1 - Rules
Well I am back! Starting a new weekly series of learning and some laughter. So let’s get to it.
IN LIFE COMES RULES
This life that we live is full of rules some that can be bent, some that we break, and others that if we do not follow can lead to trouble. This degree of trouble varies on what rules we do not follow. When it comes to website design and the ability to get website traffic, obeying the rules to get on to Page One of Google should be followed.
As Kyle says in his training, going for the “low-hanging fruit” keywords, will help us to rank quicker and eventually end up on or near Page One of Google. Why is Page One so important? Because up to 91.5% of people that use the search engines NEVER go past Page One before making their selection. That is a HUGE amount of search traffic! So if you want to make Google Page One, you need to follow these rules.
KEYWORD USE RULES
First, use a “low hanging fruit” keyword with a decent amount of monthly searches 50+ and a competition or QSR of 100 or less. Second, make sure this keyword appears in the page or post title. Third, make sure this keyword appears in the first 140 character spaces of your content, if not then elsewhere in the first paragraph. And fourth, make sure this keyword appears somewhere near the end of your content.
The fifth and final rule is to make sure the rest of your content is well written and that it reads naturally, with good engaging information that can contain other relevant keywords. Remember that you want to answer what your readers would be thinking of asking. That is after all what they are doing when going up onto the search engines…searching for answers to their queries.
MAKING FUN OF THE RULES
Here are some RULES that some of us may have to follow or know those who have to follow at some point in their lives. As usual, they are FUNNY - the Laughter part of this Learning & Laughter post - and the last picture is a 2 Minute video clip from the July 25th, 2014 comedy TV Show, Real Time with Bill Maher. Glad to have you back on Sunday's thanks for the info and the laughs. Sign above a toilet in a bar: we aim to please, you aim too please.
Graffiti on a condom machine in same bar: this gum tastes like rubber.
Welcome back.
Thanks for the reminder Robert, sometimes, due to information overload, or having a senior moment (ha ha), I may forget some things that are very important. Periodic reminders really help.
I am a big fan of reminders because like you said, sometimes because of information overload we can forget things. So a reminder every once in a while is a good thing.
