Learning and Laughter 33 - Being Creative
When it comes to our website content one must be creative. This creativity will manifest itself not in just how your website content will be written but also in the look of your pages and posts.
The use of Heading Tags, Images, Text Logos, Videos, Colors, Ads, and Links will contribute to how your content will look. However you do not want to do too much in the visually creative area because you do not want it to be a distraction from your content.
You basically have to find the correct balance between informative and engaging content and visual stimulation to produce a good user experience. Let your creativity shine but do not let it visually take over your pages and posts.
A MUST HAVE
One thing that is important to visually have at the beginning of your content is either an image or a captivating heading tag. These should appear "above the fold" which is the very first visual area of your page or post without you having to scroll the screen down.
When using an image, the entire image does not need to be above the fold, as long there is enough showing that will make the reader want to scroll down to see more. If I cannot get a captivating heading tag to appear within the top fold of the screen, I will make sure that half if not all of an image can be seen.
I always have my pages and posts looking just right before clicking Publish, even if it takes me days to get the content done. I have had many compliments on how my website looks from people outside of WA and one of the reasons is that I like to use visual stimulations along with my content.
CREATE WITH CREATIVE THINKING
ONE MUST BE CREATIVE
YET KEEP THINGS FUNCTIONAL
SO AS TO CREATE A GREAT USER EXPERIENCE.
SOMETIMES THINGS WILL OCCUR
WHEN YOU WILL NEED TO IMPROVISE
AND STILL KEEP THINGS FUNCTIONAL.
MANY TIMES THINKING OUTSIDE OF THE BOX
IS NEEDED...EVEN IF IT IS A TISSUE BOX.
SOMETIMES THE SOLUTION TO A PROBLEM
IS NOT AS HARD AS YOU MAY THINK TO FIX.
BEING CREATIVE CAN SOMETIMES BE
AS SIMPLE AS LOOKING AT THINGS
FROM A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE.
THERE IS AN OLD SAYING,...
WHERE THERE IS A WILL, THERE IS A WAY
THEN THERE ARE THOSE TIMES WHERE
CREATIVITY MAY COME ABOUT FROM
THE SIGHTS YOU SEE AROUND TOWN...
JUST MAKE SURE YOU KEEP CHALK
IN YOUR CAR GLOVE BOX FOR THIS.
CREATIVITY IS ALL AROUND US IF YOU JUST LET
YOUR IMAGINATION GO FREE... LIKE MR BEAN.

I'm OK. Have just been busy with a lot of content writing for others and working on my social media marketing.
Nice Robert ... but how'd you find my car -
ROCK ON!

I never park like that and am now going to keep chalk in my car for sure!

As ever another excellent blog and Mr Bean at his best. Here is Rowan Atkinson in a slightly different role:

I love watching Mr, Bean. We also have the same last name (Atkinson)! Your blog is exactly what I went through yesterday. I started off doing something else, but it brought me around to fixing/finishing my main project and will tie in together just nicely. I just hadn't seen it that way before. Going to put it in my blog, but I had to watch Mr. Bean first.
Great again, I had a swing like that! In the livingroom hung the maxi cosi as a swing, with a rope attached, and kept the little one quiet while watching tele:)))
