Amazon Grocery Stores - Is This Another Affiliate Program
One of the affiliate programs we here at Wealthy Affiliate are exposed to early on in the training is the Amazon Associates Program. Even though there are about a thousand other kinds of affiliate programs we can freely join, Amazon is no doubt the largest.
FOOD IS A NICHE
When we are starting a niche website we must choose what that niche will be. It can be practically anything. A niche is nothing more than an experience, product, interest, hobby and passion that many people enjoy. Yet people sometimes overlook niches right in front of us.
To help simplify the process of thinking about a niche we all have a connection to, I created a training tutorial using several pictures and list the different niches seen within the pictures. Take a look at those pictures here and see if you can find the niches I came up with.
Seeing how a niche can be almost anything a specific group of people enjoy, even things that everyone enjoys like FOOD can be a niche as well. Of course it has to be narrowed down into a specific sub niche like Gluten Free, Organic, Imported Cheese, Coffee, Wild Salmon,...
Yesterday I came across an article about how Amazon is now going to open three Amazon grocery stores in the U.S. Even though Amazon owns Whole Foods and Amazon Fresh, it seems that they want to try their hand at having their own grocery stores.
This got me thinking. Will the Amazon Associates Program now include an affiliate opportunity through the Amazon grocery stores if this new venture becomes popular? What would that affiliate program be? Maybe a membership for people ordering food online?

It is interesting bus if as they say it is geared towards the lower end of the pricepoint foods then it will be harder to make a profit from it.
That being said everyone needs to buy food and a lower profit from thousands is just as effective as higher-end commissions on expensive items.
It is an idea that needs to be pursued as it is rolled out.

You are welcome Alex. Yes...lower profit margin from thousands can definitely surpass higher profit margin from only a hundred. Everyone needs to eat and that is what makes this a possible win-win.
This looks like huge opportunity for several niches, even in the health-related niches. That is If they offer affiliate opportunities on food.

You are welcome Paula. Yes, this can also be tied into the health related niches should they offer an affiliate program with this grocery store venture. Lots of possibilities here.
This has potential. Perhaps a niche for organic, non-gmo, Keto friendly foods would be a popular niche with the dieting crowd. Something I am definitely going to look into. :-)

Keto is already a very popular niche and I also feel that by adding organic non-GMO foods would be a better more narrow and focused niche.
It would be quite good I should think. Your readers would return to see whatever the latest products are, that they are selling. It would save them wading though loads of products themselves, a big time saver.
I agree that it could be a big time saver if Amazon decides to make the Associates Program to include this new venture, especially if it is a great success.

I agree. But even though it would be more of a repeat business for Amazon, it can also be a more lucrative business for the affiliate marketer because food is something everyone must do to survive.
Absolutely! Real estate is another niche that is high on the Maslow‘s hierarchy of needs.

Amazon have no end to what they may do next. I can almost see the amazon grocery stores on our streets in London.
I live not far from the Amazon warehouse already. So it will be awesome to see what comes from this in London. As for the affiliate program I suppose they will have a program for it too.
I was looking at your Niche on Cheese. I love cheese. I wonder if that could be a good money making niche to be in. I know coffee is an excellent niche.
Imported Spanish cheeses might be one to look out for. Especially from Spain I love their cheese. This has given me food for thought. ( pardon the pun)

You are welcome Debs. I am sure that if this new venture by Amazon becomes a hit here in the U.S. it will eventually move across the pond and set up shop in Europe starting with London. The food niche within certain sub niches is quite profitable and definitely should give the food lover some food for thought. Pun Intended. :)
