I just got an invitation to join the quora partner program I was just wondering if it is worth joining? Anyone here join the program? Have you had success with it?

Like

Agree with Curtis. I used to be on there a lot and did see some traffic from it. But, it does take a lot of time.

Don't know you are still around. You have been quiet lately.

It is a good idea to join. You will not make much money unless you are on there a lot asking relevant questions and answering questions, but you can definitely get more traffic to your site by doing it.

Hi Curtis

Thanks. I'm already doing it to get traffic.

If I outsource website design with domain will the transfer here to WA be a problem? I've read a few posts that their website is running slow on some days plus other issues ect

Why would you when it takes 30 seconds to build one?

Because I would like the site to look more presentable.

I have the same problem, but I came here to learn the process so I have now bought a theme from an outside source with a view to making my site look fantastic. I am not paying someone to build my website because I need to now how it is done. Because it is all plug and play I can do this quite easily.

So how is transferring the theme over to WA working out for you? Or are you using WA hosting? The company I'm looking into will take care of the graphics, content ect.. Just wondering if it will be a problem transferring everything over to WA.

I built 4 websites and due to my dissatisfaction with all of them, I deleted them.

I kept looking at everyone else's websites and then came across one by Eric Cantu who has been amazingly successful at WA as an affiliate. He travels and refers people to WA. I thought, that looks easy and effortless.

His website is workfromyourlaptop.com so I looked it up, and LOVED the look of it.

I also discovered that when you right-click a website page you have the ability to see the code used and all the elements of the page. So I did a thorough analysis of the page and found the name of the theme he used which was Infinity-Pro. So I googled that and it led me to studiopress which is where I bought my theme from.

I also discovered that he hasn't built his site from scratch but just lifted and amended the actual theme, which is clever.

Just doing affiliate bootcamp and taking my time to do this because I am determined to get it right. So not in a hurry to launch another website and def not paying someone else to have control over an asset that I own. It would be like buying an expensive car and then needing a chauffeur because you didn't know how to drive it. I think that is foolish and almost dangerous because you MUST retain control over any business that you own.

Just my five cents worth.

You can set up your website here and authorize the website designer to access and design your website.

I understand that but I asked about transferring a pre built site over to WA

Does anyone have experience with tracking pixel's? Ive tried the search bar here plus looking at youtube videos. My question is:

Would I need to manually insert the track

Hey Bruce,

You would need to be a magician to insert anything on a website that you do not own. However, you could create a landing page with the pixel code on it and insert a redirect code on that landing page. Then use your landing page URL in your paid ad.

That way you would know how much traffic your paid ad gave that website that you don't own.

Hope you find this helpful.

Hi Trish

Thanks for commenting. I have an idea of what a tracking pixel is just by googling and youtube. I don't know if you have the answer but do I even need a tracking pixel? I was just thinking about driving paid traffic to it.

I use the Google Keyword Planner without having to pay for an ad. But aside from the list already mentioned below, there's also:
SemRush -- www.semrush.com

Thanks for your reply. I'll check these out

This might, but I am not quite sure I understand your question correctly

Does it matter what link I use in regards to referring people to WA? I've switched out my links to other landing pages to see if it makes a difference. I just feel WA sells its

The main link is preferable. It's okay to use them as you see fit.

Thanks I'll just keep grinding..

All the links are good for referral and solely a matter preference. You can use the main link and Site Rubix link respectively.

Ive used the main link but I think the price scares them away even if you can start for free to test it out

Hi there, do you mean the main link versus the "Premium Promo", "Create Account" and "Site Rubix links"? I don't think it really matters as long as you get sign ups. It is best to test them over a period and see which works best on which pages.

No. Ive been switching out my links to test to see what works. I'm just wondering if I should just stick with the default link but when they click to sign up it goes to a grid and I think that the price scares them.

OK. It seems to work well for a lot of very successful marketers here. Also you don't really want people signing up that are so cost conscious as they just won't stick around.

Thanks Mark Ive stuck with the default link for now..

Some other landing pages are fine.
Yes, some work better than others.
