Do I just need people to click on my affiliate link and check out wealthy affiliate or what?
If they click on your link it will bring them back to wealthy affiliate. From there if they sign up then that is a referral. There is different stages of pay for how long they stay and if they set up a profile or not. You can see the airplane click on it and go through that list and it will give you a better idea. Also bootcamp might help you out a little more.

Check out the WA Affiliate Program link on the lower left of your WA screen. Look at the links and banners to see how you can share WA with others.
If they click using your WA id, and they join WA, you get $$.

If you are referring to email hosted with WA, then you will need to contact SiteSupport and offer them as much detail as you can so that they can fix your issue straight away.
