That's a new experience and it did not happen to me. Good, it's a new post so you removed and reposted it.

if you press ctrl+f5 you bypass your browsers cache.
they are all out to give you the fastest loading site, so will show you a cached version rather than the real one.
so next time you come across this press trl+f5 and see if it changes your display.
in firefox you can delve into the about:config to switch off browser caching - you will need to google it as i lost my system a few days ago.

1.) Nothing on this issue appears to be available since 2015, and I am certain there have been changes made.

However, Google is updating their algorithms on a more regular basis... so if you have a low quality subdomain and you delete it, it should work to help you main domain... over time.

Asking Facebook staff directly will provide you with a more accurate response.

I have a Site Rubix test website that I test all themes and plugins on.

It isn't necessary to have all of your content cloned, just create dummy pages and posts with a couple of images.

Content is going to look pretty much the same with most themes.

It is easy to not have a test website indexed by Google. Just do not activate the All in One SEO plugin and do not share your URL.

I always have a siterubix site that I use as my test site.

That way I can install a theme or plugin and see how they work with each other.

I can do tons of tests on it and even add in other stuff just to see how it would look.

That way I don't mess up the site/s I have...

You can clone it and you also can have a child theme.

However a test site is always great to have around.

Just to test stuff with and always comes in handy for me if somebody needs help with a particular theme.

I just go to my test site and learn their theme from there. So I can better understand their problem.

i used to use wpclone - but sadly no longer available - this quite literally copied all of your site and you could then recreate it.
i am sure there are other clone plugins which will do the same
duplicator or updraft seem likely candidates.
they will take the whole lot over to a new test site
or a staging site creator
and as Robert says tick the box to discourage the search engines - they may ignore it.
but yes you can delete it after use or keep it for later on.

You can download a copy of it and then upload it to your Test Site.
Easy to do.

Go into your Wordpress Dashboard
Choose Tools then Export.
Save the file to your Desktop.

Create a Test Site.

WP Dashboard again and Tools and then Import.

Discourage Search Engines from Indexing it

WP Dashboard then Settings then Reading
Tick the box for Discourage Search Engines From Indexing This Site.

If you have any content you can make doubly sure by making each Post Private.

You have to have each one in Edit Mode and tick the Private Box over on the right menu.

Yes you can delete the Test Site when you have finished with it.

I've been told that you contact Site Support and they'll do it, or you can create a Siterubix site and test it there. I found that out when I wanted to do the same thing. Hopefully this helps.
