I am a premium member but I'm currently inactive at WA. Can I cancel my membership or will I lose my whole account?
You will lose your account but you can always come back if you decide to

I have been getting emails saying "You have just referred a new "trial" member to Jaaxy!" What is this?
Jaaxy is the WA Keyword Tool, that helps you identify what people are searching for on the internet, and how often etc. You then use those keywords to create your content on your websites blog.
If you are getting referral emails, you must have placed your WA/Jaaxy Affiliate ID on your website/newsletter etc. Once people move from a free plan to a paid plan, then you’ll start earning commissions.

Can I keep it very simple and just use the provided main link as my landing page to bring people into WA?
You can but it will be darned hard to get people into the system that way. You need the means to drive traffic and discover an interest. Take the Bootcamp training and you will be 10,000 times as likely to reach the 300 clubs and go to Vegas.
Facebook Ads and others don't allow for direct affiliate links usually but a link to a review of the program is a different story. Be sure to investigate what is allowed by the advertiser before proceeding.
I have been in affiliate marketing for over a year mainly doing facebook ads. I'm familiar with their policies. I want to know if that main landing page converts well when bringing targeted people to it

Yes there is one training module targeting what you want and that is the "Affiliate Bootcamp" training. You will find it when you click on "Training" on the left side of the page you land on after you have logged in to Wealthy Affiliate.
