The other day I received an invitation to attend a webinar for an affiliate marketing webinar being facilitated by Mark Ling. Now, I don't know him nor had I ever hear of him before. So, I decided to sign on just out of curiosity. The subject was "How to earn $112K a month".... Thought it couldn't hurt.... besides we need to know about our competition - right?
I logged on at the designated time and after awhile he came on and started the webinar. We were having some bad weather here in Puerto Rico so I was hoping I can stay logged on for the duration of the Webinar. Anyway, he presented some amazing stuff. The main idea of the Webinar was to show us how to create one page websites and earn from $500 a month to $112 K a month by promoting these one page sites or newsletters. He would teach us how to find the niche and provide the "business in the box" from soup to nuts and all we need to do is drive traffic to these sites. In a way he was professing to teach us how to build a site, get a niche and drive traffic to these one page sites.
I listened to the end so that I could find out what the bottom line was....well, of course there was an upsell and he went on to tell us how much he spent on getting this information together and all the expenses etc. etc.etc......
The cost was $997.

This was the discounted and rock bottom amount. It occurred to me that we were getting all this and more from our trainings and websites and community here in WA (which by the way he did not offer) and OK we did not get the autoresponders and his copy for emails.....
I was just amazed at how he professed to want to help newbies to start their own businesses and to be successful, but, he was really trying to sell his program and used the urgency close that they would not be able to keep this sale open after the webinar so we had to act right away.
This pitch gave me the "willys"..... and at the same time I wanted to believe him. But, this is the same scam I would fall for when I was desperately trying to find online opportunities to earn extra income.
I was looking for a way to earn extra income....how was I to afford $997?
Am I wrong? Did I miss anything here.....
